This is clearly the best decision by him. I don't think he's in a position where he could realistically repeat the success he has had thus far. Not now with Kespa in the picture, and the release of Heart of the Swarm. Since he was always pretty clear about his motives keeping him in SC2, this is the obvious call.

That's fun, all the americans here just do like all the world have the same system than the US. Stop talking about money or acceptance. All the university in France are public and free (i pay 430 euros/years, with the student insurence in it). And everybody with baccalauréat (who finished high school) can go to a med school (more a "university of medecine" in France). The only (big) problem is the exam at the end of the first year. There is a numerus clausus, only the 10, 20 or 30% best (depends of the year, the number of students, the city etc) go to second year (this system is just for medecine, it's cooler in other universities :p ).

But stop debate, he don't want to do a med school (he said economic or engineer, don't sure).

I don't think it's about med. school being too expensive / requiring all your time. Stephano isn't the sort to stick around when he's not at the top of the scene. He's not the sort who settles for second/third tier performance, living on his team while winning less money than required to support himself and seeing his fame fade day after day. It's better to leave on a positive than to be trudge forward on the thin hope that one day he's going to be at the top again. Dozens of pro-gamers have fallen into that trap never to rise again, including one Stephano was team mates with just a week ago.

Life has plenty of other opportunities.

I wish him well. A good portion of me feels as though once his roach attack was figured out, he was pretty well sunk. None-the-less, still one of the best non-Koreans to play the game. I do feel, though, that while people like Grubby continue to advance, he was slipping.

Good timing for him.
