Well just to add what Incontrol said on his stream. And he obviously doesn't mind people knowing, is that a few weeks ago Greg was officially warned by the management after telling Capoch he hopes he gets cancer etc. The sponsors didn't like it at all for obvious reasons, and Alex said it would never happen again. Fast forward a few weeks and Idra throws more shit at the fan and it was him or the company. Completely fair and justified in the end. Difficult to do, but justified.

Damn that's crazy, I can't believe I heard about this so late.

Lesson of the day? Don't f**** with corporate. Starcraft is becoming a more professional sport now. As more and more companies and managers take an interest (and investment!) in this game and scene, they will employ a more professional and corporate way of thinking. Imagine saying this in a office workplace out loud and posting it in writing on the bulletin board for everyone to read. Chances are you'll be asked to step into the office and sent packing. And that is exactly what EG did.
Idra dug his own grave, and frankly I must say, good riddance, he represented my home state VERY poorly. (Before he moved)

True, if anything this action further emphasizes what IdrA said; it's all about the dollars, the money. EG make out to be guardian angels to their players, yet they boot them in tough times. Nobody on the team was consulted, no emotional connection was made to make sure team-mates were prepared for this. They just stabbed a pro-gamer in the heart and left him out to bleed while his comrades still mourn in disbelieve with the loss of a good friend.
EG obviously isn't some kind of tree you can lean on in troubled times as a player, it is an oiled money making machine. CEOs can spin words how ever they want but in the end what people remember is the outline, the abstraction of what they have done, which is sever a player because he said something they didn't like.

I don't think IdrA will change who he is, that is a good thing. Nearly all people in the scene put on a fake smile, and dumb their mind into a state of ignorance so they can entertain sheeple. IdrA was the only person who kept it real and wasn't afraid to tell it.
Those who lie to themselves to entertain become the worst kind of people, because those lies seep into the depths of their minds and rot their integrity as human beings. On the exterior they are sell outs, on the inside they are ....

They warned him, fined him tons of times over a period of three years . .. hired a him a Therapist . . . pampered the shit out of him in the EG lair . . . should they have spoon-fed him caviar and preemptively stationed a porn-star in his bed every night?

lol cept its not because he said something they didnt like, its because he said many things they didnt like. this isnt a strike one and ur out situation u make it out to be, its more like a three strikes and ur out and we tried to help u during the strikes. perhaps u should watch the latest state of the game to see the measures they took to help him.

Um, EG is still paying out his rent despite releasing him from the team. They also did more for IdrA than any other team in the world would, in terms of salary and accommodations. They went as far as getting him a sports psychologist. They've been walking on eggshells and coddling him for almost three years.
This decision obviously isn't about money, because IdrA still draws huge stream numbers, that EG can sell to sponsors. This decision comes after countless second chances that the team, and various leagues, have given IdrA to meet his potential.
Also, no one in esports lies to themselves more than IdrA.
He pretends not to care about the game, but rages and curses people out when he loses.
He blames every loss on balance, game design, stupid plays, or dumb luck, instead of blaming himself.
He hates people that he considers worse players than him, but openly brags that he gets paid whether he wins or loses.
He pretends to be a straight shooter that tells it like it is, but freaks out at anyone with the nerve to criticize him.
IdrA is a lot of things, but don't kid yourself. He's not 'keeping it real'. He's like a lot of guys in their early twenties — they don't like where their life is headed so take their bullshit out on everyone and else.
Honestly, the only thing that EG didn't do for him, until now, is show him tough love and let him go. Hopefully it's exactly the kind of motivation IdrA needs to come back.

cept EG hired him as a competitive athlete and not an entertainer. their mind set was for idra to produce good results which he did and lessen hes rude attitude, which after 3 yrs hasnt changed one bit or gotten worse due to this situation.
