During his time on CJ and immediately before EG I'm pretty sure Idra was the hardest working western player. That is the player they signed at the time.

Enable and encourage the worst of his habits to make your (irrelevant at the time) SC2 division hyper popular in the next 1-2 years by deliberately building up and feeding off the negativity in his image, even when it was obvious it was destroying his best qualities as a player. Then, when you realize you don't need him anymore, fire him for saying something that is genuinely true and not really offensive at all. Well color me surprised. A lot of juicy assertions there. - "Idra is THE hardest working foreign player" - that's total speculation. - "Enable and encourage the worst of his habits to make your [team] popular" - total speculation. No evidence of this. - "Deliberately building up and feeding off the negativity in his image" - wow coincidence? Another total speculation. Man there wasn't a single word of you entire post that wasn't total speculation on what went down between EG and Idra. Lols

I'd say EG was way too lenient and should have done it earlier. Forgot about talented part. His success was mostly based on mechanics since the 14p 15h build he did was so predictable it was called Idra Build for a reason. Here come the goldfish...... Some people have memories longer than 1 year you know. Idra used to be one of the most hardworking people. I actually dislike idra's personality and think he balances whines too much for his race but what he stated there is absolutely true and ruined a large part of the western SC2 scene for me. People aren't paid to be good, they are paid to be entertainers because that's exactly what most of the community seeks. As sad as that is, that is how the Sc2 community is.

Anyway, while it's weird to see Idra off EG, it may be a nice refresher for Idra and EG. Also, at the quite off-topic discussion of salaries and what is considered "wealthy"... You might actually be retarded if you think $100,000 is not a lot of money. While $1,000,000 is significantly more, both are more than sufficient to live a nice lifestyle. In fact, being able to afford San Francisco basically makes you wealthy. You are above the 90th percentile with a 6 digit (US $) salary, so, that's pretty nice, relatively speaking. And lastly, why do people watch Idra's stream? Because he's entertaining. I like seeing him play and I get a little bit of a kick out of his attitude towards others and the game. Obviously, when he commentates, that's nice too since everyone likes pro-gamer commentary. He has a reputation and a persona which people enjoy. It's pretty clear, isn't it?

You must not look at the same things as me. I see nothing there that actually shows her nude. Almost naked does not equal naked. And what does her having fake boobs or not have to do anything with whether she shows them?

Naniwa at least has results, and he might get better if they give him proper coaching. Idra is done.

IdrA was hard working, no one that followed broodwar is going to deny it, but I still argue 'hardest' working person. Mondragon when in preperation for tournaments was very hard working, but he was very busy so you still got a point. White-rA was playing his ass off when he got A+ on iccup, Draco and SunCow were playing sick amounts of games. There were plenty of hard-working players that are gifted. I hold no grudge against IdrA and I certainly don't want to judge if that was a good or bad business decision but he should have known that constantly insulting the community which is reason why he earns money to begin with cannot be a good idea.

Lmao since when do we know that goldfish have memories less than 1 year? Do you study or have extensive knowledge of goldfishes? LOLing hard at your choice of an introduction. And why the hell would you assume that anyone would understand that analogy? lol

Just like idra for pointing out how much of a tool all you haters are who watch his stream just to talk shit and troll him while unintentionally making him rich hahahaha. Whether or not what he said was 'way out of line'...he was replying directly to the person who accused him of "crying on the inside" and junk. It seems to me that he was getting butt hurt in general at the people hate mongering in that thread, like he always has in the past. I know a good portion of the community has had its problems with Idra, but to take what he said literally like he is speaking to ALL of his fans is retarded. Maybe it's just me but, when i read that i didn't think he was speaking to me - one of his great fans. He's even been quoted as saying "my fans are fucking awesome" (his REAL fans). That doesn't sound like someone who hates his whole fan base. He has shown appreciation. Get it right. He used to be paid for his bad boy attitude which is trash talking people. Hence thats why, with a bunch of anger mixed in, he said that...derp. I dno, I know I've been posting in this thread periodically, and I'm not really an active TL poster, but this whole situation really bothers me. All the kids love to hate on idra cuz all they see is an asshole. Not an extremely talented kid that grew into a troubled man. To be a young person with an anger problem, bad boy persona, and a boatload of talent; it isn't all that surprising how it spiraled and effected his ability to succeed. It deeply saddens me ![]()

Okay, I'll add "one of" then, general point still remains. Though I'm pretty sure the in-house training regime of a genuine pro team is more rigorous and consistent over a longer period of time than the kind of practice foreigners had during late BW/SC2 Beta.
