:D
Because the Live event is in New York City and following Americas PrimeTime for an Americas audience? Please stop being silly.

This is not Korea 1 vs Korea 2 vs Korea 3. It's NA vs KR vs EU.
You want to play in NA, you should play on the damn NA server. In fact, you should be happy that they don't make it a requirement that you have to LIVE in NA to play in WCS NA. ???
I think everyone thinks it's idiotic that there ISN'T that requirement. If you're not going to make that requirement, than why would you make it based on the server? It's just stupid and petty at that point.

i can't believe this has reached 50 pages over a relatively minor issue that 99% of viewers would not have picked up on otherwise
also, WCS America, not WCS NA

The nationalistic fervor has really come out in this thread. It's actually quite scary.

If you're playing in a NA tournament instead of the Korean one, you're playing on NA instead of Korea.
It's already kind of stupid they're running tournaments for specific regions but letting anyone play in whatever region, whole thing is a mess.

I agree. And arguing is pretty frustrating at this point. Do you choose the option with absolutely zero disadvantages or the option with a couple of disadvantages and no advantages? Yeah. There is nothing to do but to repeat this again and again and defuse the false claims.
This is like a right wing politician who gets the masses behind him by claiming that the immigrants are the cause for the bad economic situation. Winning the argument is easy but convincing prejudiced people is tough.

NA server only pls. If Players do not like it then they can move or play Korea WCS.

I agree with the earlier points made in favor of them playing on NA.
Lol, guys. So, what happens when down the line RO 16 is all koreans? We just play everything on Korea server rite????? Might as well call it wcs psuedo korea at that point.
You play wcs america, you play on NA. Plain and simple.

lol provide the audience with higher quality games.
you go to wcs korean to watch those, not wcs na. how about those that dont live in america sign up for the region that they actually live in, you know, to provide us to higher quality games, instead of attempting to stomp through a markedly easier qualifier then complain about 'well we cant give you high quality games'. derp

They still play all cross games on NA. No American will ever have to play on KR in WCS AM. If any involved player wants to play on NA the games will be played on NA. There IS no drawback, just better game quality.

lol Does Korea let two Europeans playing in the Korean qualifiers play on the EU server? The GSL is offline.
Genuine question. Is it actually offline? Or does offline here merely mean that its done in a studio? Aren't they playing online through B.Net? Blizz hasn't released any offline tools as far as I know.

i dont think that will work... i dunno, maybe they thought the korean pros will move to americas to play in wcs am, then ladder the crap out of am server and increase overall quality. i dont think that'll happen. i think they'll just play online until offline event, finish up event then go back to korea and do their thing.
unless blizzard wants to provide all of them housing under one roof and help train each other.
maybe we'll have america continent residents only wcs am after korean domination.

Ennlighten me! I can't wait to hear how this will motivate Koreans to come to NA.

also, WCS America, not WCS NA While I think it's a totally stupid decision, I do agree that this issue is not 50 page-worthy. I think it has to do with how MLG and WCS AM have been so controversial and the number of problems that there have been so far.
It may be WCS America, but I don't think anyone put thought into the "OH IS THIS NORTH AMERICA OR IS THIS JUST UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OR IS IT BOTH AMERICAS..?" It's just a name. And as you clearly saw, they invited Canadians and South Americans who were successful. So it's more like WCS Americas anyway. 7/24 are from the Americas (excluding USA), 3/24 are from Europe/Australia/Taiwan, 5/24 are from Korea. 9/24 are actually from USA.
Not that the racial distribution (IRL) makes much difference in this conversation.
