if you are chosing NA as your region, you might as well deal with the lag.
You dont want the lag?

The only reason it is an issue now is because Major just happened to mention it. When Koreans (and Europeans) play in the TSL they have to play on NA as well (I believe, don't crucify me).

What he meant by "both of them are gonna have the same delay anyways" is that if they play on KR they'll both have the same low delay, if they play on NA they'll both have the same higher delay. Either way the numbers are approximately equal, whether it's high or low. And yes, many people seem to forget that this isn't just players playing in a tournament, but also content that Blizzard wants us to watch. So in that sense, the delay doesn't only matter for their comfort while playing, but also for our own enjoyment of the games that ensue.

In all seriousness, this is absolutely fine IMO. You want to play on NA? you have to play with lag.

This is WCS America. Therefore if Koreans want to play they should be punished as much as possible with high delay. The fact that this makes the matches worse and the viewing worse is irrelevant.

TL team managers could have emailed us direct instead of creating a forum thread. I don't get what something like this is expected to do outside of creating a mountain out of a mole hill. As to the issue at hand, this is the first we're hearing of complaints. If players choose to play on NA, they are expected to deal with the region's server and schedule. We're working very hard to improve upon the rocky qualifier start. Any players, teams, etc. should contact us directly through the appropriate communication channels to discuss concerns around the competition.
