Great that CodeS starts at 10am here... 90% of people can't catch it live...

Based here, There will only be 3 leagues in Korea (GSL s1 - OSL - GSL s2).
So the ruling about "can only commit to one WCS league at the beginning of the year" does this mean that if you commit to GSL/OSL and get disqualified, you cannot join MLG/ESL? Would there be a lot of Korean's joining MLG/ESL to get higher chances of points instead of joining the cutthroat-bloodlust KR leagues?

I like how there was a special announcement that KeSPA is behaving themselves... haha

I'm concerned how long these sponsors and companies can bleed money on the European and American leagues before they just say fuck it all and go back to Korea-centric tournaments. Ultimately we all know that Europe and the Americas are to Korea what the WNBA and the Bulgarian Crippled Women's Basketball League are to the NBA. I know that personally, I will have almost zero interest as an American watching any of the American league play. Other than the occasional BM, trash talking and grudge matches, we just offer a very poor quality product in terms of Starcraft watchability.

It's really not fair to give foreigners the same weight as the Koreans. Blizzard needs to take the best of the best I think, not the best of each region :/

It's ok, now we say, Korean Premiere > European Premiere

+1 Very good news.
We needed a 'merger' of sorts

So GSL and OSL are virtually merging, but GSTL and Proleague will continue to be year-round?
Seems like each studio will see a lot less use overall. I hope each company runs smaller events during their off-season.

Seems like each studio will see a lot less use overall. I hope each company runs smaller events during their off-season. That's why they have Tanks, LoL, and DotA. If studio still needs more use, they can always pick up more games. I heard Tekken is popular in Korea, and Koreans are also slaughtering forigners in MLG.

If this means less code S seasons, all american MLG's/ESL's, I think it only makes the scene worse. I don't want to watch two days of dire games to get to the few final games that will actually be worth watching.
MLG Dallas was basically a microcosm of how WCG is gonna be. Let some foreigners get in, then they get crushed in the 1st round and then all KR after that. Large portion of the pool is gonna be a walkover.
