I hope only people who live in a region will be able to play in that region. Other than that this sounds great. I liked the WCS system last year though, we'll see which one is better.

I think this will make Dreamhack THE tournament to watch though, because they will be one of the few ones with players from all regions.

All the competitions now count for something. no it wouldnt it'd be just like the grandmaster system in different regions getting GM in NA / EU is not much as an accomplishment as getting GM in korea But it will let us see inter-region battles. Where foreigners ended in large tournaments were much more to do with what Koreans you hit than your skill-level. I would love to see a somewhat accurate picture of the NA scene. Is Minigun or Illusion the best? What about Demuslim? How does Idra stack up, is he even top8 when it comes to the NA scene? Also GM means very little because ladder is a terrible indicator of skill.

The players competing in these tournaments will just most likely be foreigners and not Koreans, because the Koreans will focus on playing in their respective leagues. We may see a merger between other smaller tournaments where they try and host their tournaments at the same location and on the same day, culminating into a grand final between the winners of the two tournaments.
