Creating this thread to talk about achievements ppl have a hard time with. Feel free to post when you're in trouble or when you feel like helping.

I'll start with mine own (sry, have client in french so I cant tell the english names). After 30+ try and 2 fcking hours, I cant kill the 4 heroic battle cruiser in the mission where you have to make your tumors progress so that they can activate the scourge nests.
I managed to activate 3 out of 4 within 2 minutes by hitting PERFECT tumors spread together with starting a queen as my first action of the game and having the special creep ability with kerrigan. Basically i a-move kerrigan to open space for tumors to come, and every tumor was able to be perfectly landed or within 1-2 second. didnt make a single drone and started a second queen asap as well. the 3rd battle cruiser died at 1:59, not kidding :D
I honestly think blizz means that we have to activate 3 nest, not 4, unless there's a way to activate them that i didnt understand. I guess it will be patched,it can not be anything else than a mistake from their part really.
Would be interested if anyone succeeded. Rly dont know how to do it :D
I can help with another achievement i had a bit of trouble with.
It's the Supreme mission
+ Show Spoiler + , where you have to kill the 4 primal Zergs. Basically to get it done under 12 minutes you have to never fight any ennemy zerg you encounter. When you receive extra zergs yourself to help you, just let them stay where they are. With kerrigan you have to use your leap as often as possible, never engage any ennemy unless it's one of the 4 boss itself ofcourse. I could get it done in 10:20

What difficulty are you on/what morphs did you use?
Because spamming spawn banelings with the jumping bane modification won me pretty much every level xD
For the BC one you can spread creep while using sac lings to get the tumor rooted without getting shot, you don't necessarily have to destroy every base/obstruction.

You have to activate all four scourge nests at the same time. I'm not sure I understand the problem. I got all the achievements just fine.

Just place creep up to the fourth scourge nest without activating any nest. When the battle cruiser is killing your base you should be able to activated all four scourge nests at the same time.

You spread the creep near the nests without activating them, only activate one when the ship is getting near the base. Otherwise just push and kill and keep active tumors near the unactivated nests until you have 4 nests all within range of a tumor, then activate all 4 at once and they will insta-kill 4 ships.

Yeah you just have to spread your creep close to the four first scourge nest and activate one after another~

Anyone finished the "Ludicrous Speed" achievement ? + Show Spoiler +the mission with the Hyperion, you have to finish it in less than 11 min
Dunno if I should try to go for an upgrade (with minerals) or just rush the hell out of it T_T
edit: yeah just tried with your advice and it worked! done it in 9:15ish~ really easily thanks to the upgrade haha~

@Natalya: you can place your tumors close but still far enough from the nests in order to not activate them.
You don't have to do it in the first 120 seconds of the missions (that'd be impossible)
Just spread your creep to the 4th nests without activating a single one! (the gordon should be close to the 2nd nest I think, but that doesn't matter)

Did with ease just spamming the jump, got all the upgrades too.
Warping around is so fast haha.

I got all the mineral upgrades but skipped the optional objectives I believe (I actually don't remember if I got the bottom right one now that I think about it). The upgrades are really useful to 1-shot yamato those towers. Yeah just spam the warp jump and make use of the repair bots at last possible moments as much as possible.

I dont understand lol... How do you spread creep without activating the nest? Do you guys mean that you put a creep tumor close to the nest but out of activation range? then create a new creep tumor next to it to make it shoot? even if i didnt care about activating or not, i just cant get the creep all the way to the 4rth nest. Never gona happen within 2 minutes of the beggining of the game period, it's far too far...
Is there a way to spread creep that do not involve using the first creep tumor you get for free, the one near your base? I mean you cant plant a tumor wherever you feel like can you? lol
I'm laughing so hard coz i think i tried for hours when there's a little trick i didnt understand ;D
Btw there's also the mission where you're attacking warfield. Tried a couple times to blow up the pf, seems not likely to be possible.

I haven't bothered with that achievement, but my impression is that it's within a period of 120 seconds, not within the FIRST 120 seconds of the map...? It sounds like you're misinterpreting what you're actually supposed to do.
I'm not at my SC2 computer at the second to validate for sure.

For the scourge one, I just made a bunch of roach hydra, and just tore through everything. Then just make 4 hatches while the third gorgon is pummelling your main and use creep from those. It's so much easier. Just don't forget to sneak the queens and drones out first. Also kerrigan spawning splitter banes is completely imbalanced.

You're assuming too much. You're assuming that it's saying "the first 120 seconds of the game".
It's really saying kill 3 more gorgon battlecruisers within 120 seconds of killing killing one.

Personally I've tried a few that I had trouble with. Namely the Rendezvous one (Premature Evacuation: Destroy all Dominion Structures in the “Rendezvous” mission before Naktul’s brood arrives on Hard difficulty.). Assuming it means killing all structures on your side of the bridge (rather than ALL of them), I've always been a fair bit short of doing-so (although I guess it does look possible)
The reason I'm saying it's problematic is because I don't see what I could be doing wrong. There's no extra minerals or gas that's useable, and unit composition is extremely straightforward since we get only zerglings and queens. I was going to try PURE queen once,but went against it (doesn't seem good)

most annoying one was probably killing hybrids with terran units, but even that one was easy TT.

And any hint on how to kill the pf before the nuke happens (mission where you get 3 waves of Zerglings/bane) What do you do, do you blow up everything and keep going untill you reach the pf? Do you go left or right? and what spells do you use with kerrigan?
(btw those screen where you change your spells etc, look much like diablo, same with the mission where you kill primal zergs)

Wait till reinforcements come and basically just make a b line for it. It's basically the farthest base back.
I actually killed the door with spawn banes and psi blast, then killed the first base. Then when the reinforcements came, I just went straight for it. Make sure you have lings with the bonus health, and banes are splitters with the 100% damage bonus. That's probably overkill tbh.

Go left.
With your first batch, kill the entrance base and the mini base at the left. With your second batch, kill the bottom part of the left base, the part below the road. You need to bait enemies by backing a bit. With your third batch, roll to the PF. You will have just enough time.

I had a hard time on premature evacuation. You basically need to start queen production quick, and don't throw lings away to hellbats. Also, make liberal use of Kerri's psi blast to snipe bunkers. There's some youtube videos that can help you too. Oh yeah, you don't have to kill the buildings that are past the bridge, just everything else.

Yea, I got all the mastery achievements, 100% HotS achievements complete. I think got the Rendezvous achievement with about 1 minute 30 seconds left. I spent the first 2 minutes spamming spells to clear the small forces on the right. Mass drone with queens in the meantime. Second hatchery, constant queen production throughout the entire game, 4 spines on the right, switch to mass zergling after fully saturated. Push the left with kerrigan + queens after you've cleared the right and gotten your first reinforcement queen. Then just follow the left path till you eventually kill everything. Don't engage with zerglings until you've cleared all helbats. Spam psi blast on all bunkers to get them to burn down and siege tanks.

Go left so you hit thors and not siege tanks. Spam psi blast on the door then just a move. Use psi blast on the key units like thors and bunkers. Engage the first Terran force in the center and then the left base with the thors, but ignore all the units on the high ground where the pf is and head straight for the pf. It was really close but I killed it with about 3 seconds left on the timer.
I'll answer any questions people might have about achievements! The only hard achievement to get imo was the "finish BC mission in 11 minutes". It took me about 6 tries before I could optimize it and I beat it in about 10:23.
