I don't have the extensive background knowledge of the advertising industry so its very hard for me to comprehend why girls would get more marketing than guys. TB is right I'm a moron flo didn't get picked up by a progaming team because she is a girl and has some hidden ROI value
Lets see. TB runs Axiom with Genna in partnership with Husky. TB talks/negotiates with sponsors and learns about the kind of ROI they expect/hope for in terms of their sponsorship investment. TB comes into thread with his vast knowledge of inner workings of running a damn team and gaining sponsors. You proceed to admit you have absolutely no idea of any marketing terms, that you lack the comprehension to understand how any player with name recognition/fanbase/twitter followers/overall could find attract new sponsors. Those seats really are awesome. The first time I heard about them, I didn't really think they'd be any other than just seats, but they are so damn comfortable. I have one myself, fuck the higher costs. They are worth it without question. I don't care about the rest though, sorry.

Chairs are the new mechanical keyboards. People get used to using shit tier chairs for so long and then when they get something good they can't go back.

So companies use girls to market to gamers because gamers are all desperate white knights who completely lose it at the sight of a pair of tits? Sounds accurate(sadly).

Yes and women are marketable? Really if flo was a guy none of us would of even heard about her shes just your standard master terran that got into a pro team because shes hot.
You should check out the non featured stream list now and then woman are always the highest viewer numbers by far. Even if there less than masters.
Bonus thing is check out there stream chat its a complete state just a lot of guys trying trying to get them to be there boyfriends.

I dont see the point in this. I dont they will benefit in a way from sponsoring a high masters player. Everybody that follows the scene know who they are already from watching HSC.
|
Havik... Refrain from posting in future until your posts have an actual point thank you..

Well. First chair company to sponsor e-sports. And they sponsor multiple things? (HSC + a player). And someone from EG actually praises a product that doesn't sponsor them (ok, that's happened before). Well sheeeeit. Might just the best brand o' chairs to get after if you like e-sports.
Time to put that sucker on my computer upgrade list.

Congrats Flo...has to be one of the best sponsors to have, those chairs look awesome
PS. TB is right, it has nothing to do with gender it has to do with marketability...just because you're female doesn't mean you are marketable...likewise just because you are skilled at the game doesn't mean you are marketable

You guys are arguing about two separate things. TB is saying that RoI is everything, and being a girl tends to get you more attention in this industry, which is true. You're arguing about whether or not it's "fair" that she gets more attention for being a girl, which is a hotly contested subject.

I don't think a professional StarCraft competition is necessary. But it's interesting and it's fun so it exists.

Guess what guys; the world isn't fair, or at least what you think is fair. And you'll save yourselves a lot of time and effort if you stopped nitpicking on things that doesn't even really matter to you. If you're still sitting there getting worked up over the fact that a female starcraft player getting sponsored because it may or may not have something to do with her gender, you have you're priorities all mixed up. There are far greater injustices and unfairness in this world that needs your attention.

Gotta agree here. I have a similar chair and it really improved my quality of life tremendously. Now I can't even think of how awful I was sitting before I had it
