Sponsors pick people up who are marketable and can provide them ROI. It's that simple. Nobody gives a shit if you're any good if you can't get anyone to follow you. Skill is irrelevant, all companies care about is how many eyes they can get on their product. Such dumb shit as "lol becos female" is generally spouted by people that don't have any real understanding of how the advertising industry operates. | ||

Obviously Need for Seat or any team can just look at the scene and pick the very best player or a thousand better players than Flo, but they didn't. They can read the damn stat people. They're investing so they know who and what can return to them. | ||

How is his understanding of the industry shallow, his point is correct, they only got picked because they draw more antention, more eyes on themselves which is backed up with nothing else than their gender. Personally i feel sorry for them because they know themselves that they are only in pro teams for marketing reasons that have very little to do with competing or game itself. | ||
