But, you wouldn't write it like that with so many real letters. !_3375!>34!<5!-!0!_!!_!)!_00!<!1!<37!-!15 + Show Spoiler + Elite speak should look like this Except, I would have used a lot more straight lines instead of exclamation ! if my keyboard had them. If you're using normal letters so that it's readable easily anyway,it defeats the purpose of 1337. 0\/\/|\|3!).7\/

Such as the controversy with him being removed from complexity awhile ago. Not to mention his loose lipped attitude has got him into trouble. ( Look up Destiny's Reddit post regarding him leaving Quantic ). Lastly his latest stint that caused a major stink was the whole him showing nudes to some other chick online. He pissed off some girl and she had the passwords to his twitter. She then proceeded to post the "manhood" there which just led to a lot of nonsense. All in all Destiny does not have the greatest image/reputation but he is a smart individual. To me he just makes poor choices that put him in a tough spot. As for the OP, regarding own3d issue is a big deal within the esports industry I believe we need to filter out as many shady establishments as we can. In the real world that is retail/IT/human services you just cannot fulfill your contractual agreements as they can cost you a lot of money. Given the fact that these streaming providers are trying to pioneer something here means they have first mover's advantage. Unfortunately for the consumer which is the stream and the end user being the viewers get boned here. Overall poor quality and lack of support for the streamer lead to a more frustrated esports industry as a whole. If we want the world to view esports as something that is workable/functional then we got to step it up a notch. Just avoid own3d future streamer's and hopefully the guys behind it will crumple to their lack there of promises.

Lots of lawyers will work out plans with you, you can take out loans. The point is there is a way for him to get a lawyer if he wants. I may be judging him unfairly, but the way he has acted throughout his esports career tells me he is a whiney bitch.

This mindset is exactly what has gotten us to this point. We have accepted that what we spend our time doing and what others are willing to pay for is somehow just a 'game'. I agree that we play games... but twitch and own3d, leagues, investors and fans are willing to pay for the content and at that point this 'game we play' can become a business. I, myself, have been one of the worst at falling into this mindset.. and even worse, the mindset that "its 'just eSports'... nothing that I can do about not being paid and I really just do this because I love it... so who cares". I am not advocating that we all go out and try to get 'what's ours' or worry only about the money..because that too has posioned this industry... but there is a fine line and we all just need to be better and understanding that and making the most of each situation. We are a very young industry, but at the same time, we have allowed ourselves to believe that all we will ever be is a hobby and that is just simply not true. If we do not start to build more structure and put more 'business' in this industry... others will use up our resources and we will die off ... again. My 3 cents.. John Clark

I'm curious, though; why is this in the Starcraft 2 section? League of Legends or General would make more sense. It's been a long time since Destiny stopped streaming SC2.

So what you are saying is that its in the Sc2 section because it s a GENERAL concern? ![]() Anyway, its playing video games for money, imagine the hoops own3d has to jump through to get the money in the first place, most people shouldnt be suprised at the irregularity of the payments, but rather that they pay anyone anything.

On topic, i feel that Own3d.tv has completely disrespected their contracts with many people. It's one thing if its one person but this is many people coming out and saying that the company is being shady as hell. Own3d.tv deserves, in my opinion to go under, i don't even believe they should reorganize or restructure because i still think everyone would still look poorly on them. They apparently KNOW what they are doing and yet keep doing it, no restructuring is going to fix the fact that they are openly lying to their clients about money. Why the hell would anyone sign with them if he/she have mouths to feed at home? I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with that bullshit.

There's an old internet axiom "someone will defend it" Here people will happily defend terrible business practices in an industry they have zero experience in simply because they are salty that some people get paid to play videogames.
