Gradually drain all the ESF teams of their best players through lucrative contracts as their current contracts end. Then pull all KeSPA players out of GSL on the basis of being "too busy". This didn't work last time because ESF threatened to pull their own players from OSL, but if KeSPA already has most of the best GSL competitors then that kind of threat isn't going to work as well for ESF.
I just hope I'm being massively overly paranoid, but I wouldn't put ANYTHING past KeSPA. -_-
Regardless this is sad, PartinG and now Squirtle; but if it means they get good money it was probably the right choice for them personally. Although there is one mildly amusing spark in that whenever I read about moves like this I have that "elephant in the room" article in the back of my mind; almost comical how wrong that has turned out to be.
PartinG's choice is totally understandable. At this point, he could grab a quite nice salary contract with kespa, something that he couldn't really do with any eSF team. And HotS is coming in barely 2 months, parting can't really know for how long he could really get decent money only by tourneys, or a decent contract later on.
I don't find this to be a kespa vs esf war, but more like a player with common sense and good judgement (probably their parents influenced his decisions i guess)

I am not sure if Kespa has the resources. Only SKT and KT made bid for PartinG. It is pretty well known they are the 2 most popular teams. Not sure if the other teams can afford similar contracts. Remember, Kespa also 'lost' 2 players to foreign teams in JD and Sea.
Obviously, the eSF teams are struggling. I think they really need to see how they can finance themselves. I know a lot of people give EG crap for streaming before a pro league match, etc. But at the end of the day, you have to pay the bills. And yes, winning does take care of some of it. But there is only so many sponsors to go around. With LoL gaining more popularity in Korea, and Kespa teams coming in, there just isn't enough sponsor money to go around.

And now EGSquirtleRC So sad to see him go too, him and Parting were the ST brotosses

Secretly hoping he will join IM because of he friendship with LosirA, but i am guessing Kespa teams will offer way more for Squirtle.
And 100% sure Squirtle knows a little about Partings contract, or better the amount Parting is going to be making.

SquirtlePrime would be awesome :D But i think there's no way that happens

Oh my God

Wow Korean teams are all falling apart now after Slayers and TSL disbanded. Who's left? LG-IM, MVP, Prime, NSH, and FXO. I'm going to call Prime being the next victim with them only having 6 players on the roster.
Edit; I forgot about Azubu! Hoping Azubu picks up more people.

Startale EU manager stated that Squirtle will be looking at joining a kespa team

You can't blame the players for trying to get as much money as they can. These guys have such short careers. A 30 year old pro gamer is rare. Also, the pro gamers tend to skip education and normal careers. So, there is a very real danger of ending up as a 30-something former pro gamer, with injured wrists, no education, and few career prospects unless they can snag a (probably very rare) job with an e-sports related entity.

I think i'll need to change my TL forum favourite team icon

Im wondering what will happen to Life when his contract expires. Will he renew it? or will he seek other opportunities such as joining a kespa team?

Being on a KeSPA team is a full-time commitment. Didn't Life say that he wanted to focus on his studies?

Well, wait what will happen once he will get the offer of committing to sc2 full time WITH a full-time salary. (As he gets none from ST)
Anyways, eager to see what Kespa team is interested in Squirtle.
