FXO is kind of a top tier organisation and players joining should either have a big name or shown A LOT of potential during the latest weeks, if you want to invest in potential. Desrow doesnt fit any of these criteria and therefore FXO loses something that I would describe as prestige.

GL though.

Have you been keeping track of FXO.NA? Desrow is more prestigious than most of their players, it's a team of up and comers. Not quite the same mentality as the FXO.KR squad, just helping to grow the little guys.

I'd argue that is the same mentality as the FXO.KR squad. Almost everyone who is on FXO (anywhere for that matter) was pretty much trained from "nothing". Almost everyone on FXO has always been there and grown there (minus the new FXO.NA guys)their entire careers. That being said Desrow is one of if not the best player on FXO.NA to my knowledge.

The fxo korea, FXO bought the korean team FOU. They had GSL results before FXO bought them.

Congrats to Desrow.
Ive been a fan for his stream for a while. He is a very consistent streamer that gives us good entertainment values.
He has his up and downs in his game plays but who doesn't?!
It's glad to see his hard work paying off.
Keep it up!

Yeah but different sponsor now. FXO pretty legit as far as I know so I imagine he got what he wanted.

Grats to him don't think I said that yet.

I know, but my point was more that FXO has grown all their players. Yes fou existed before FXO but the whole team really grew as FXO. I don't think I'm making the point I want as clearly as I'd like but I can't think of how to actually state it. Like Fou--->FXO was basically a name change for the fou guys, unlike say for example Stephano going from Mill --> EG or Polt going from Prime-->TSL. It was all essentially the same management staff and same team instead of acquiring the best players.

I don't get why teams sign these people who are clearly not professional players.

Assuming FXO.NA is supposed to be a professional team and not starting the gamer's equivalent of comedy central.

LOL People, stop trolling or hating on Desrow, Fxo is not just in Korea .....FXO is a world wide team that supports many video games.

They have teams for each region and Desrow is prob their best pick up in North America so far, Desrow is a hardworking dude and streams 12 hours+ daily and helps his fans/community and is very active. And desrow is pro lvl and can do well/beat good players, FXO is giving him a chance to shine, so don' even judge.

You guys have to be super ignorant to think these teams are "Korea only organization" Just shows you are not a true gamer, lack knowledge, Most of the organization teams you see in Korea, are known teams for other games around the world.
Remember our motto: We ain't got it.

Since when did the definition of professional gamer changed?

As Daniel (Unstable) stated in the first thread we released over a month and a half ago, FXO.NA is not looking to become a top competing team in the world of SC2. Would I like FXO.NA to become one though? Of course I would. Realistically however, our main goal with FXO.NA is to nurture up and coming players and help them grow as a person, a teammate, and as a respectable player.
Marc has been speaking with FXO for over a month now. He has a newly found dedication and passion towards the game that we are very eager to see. With a team full of hardworking teammates and a practice regime that is strict but necessary, I believe that desRow can become a great player. Am I expecting him to win a major tournament? No. Am I expecting any of my players to win a major tournament anytime soon? Absolutely not. What I do expect however, is that they will practice hard and continue to strive forward just like any other player out there right now regardless of other people's opinions. I don't want them giving up on their hopes just because things seem impossible. These players are all very talented and promising. If one day they do win a tournament, then we couldn't be more proud of them.
For now however, our priority is not winning or losing. Our priority is not about becoming the best. Our priority is to become a respectable organization and a team that is always willing to give people a chance if they show the determination and dedication for it. I expect great things from FXO.NA. I don't expect international acclaim. I expect GREAT things.

P.S. Welcome to FXO.NA dezzy ^^
