But that made me think about how zerg has been buffed for what, 18 months. 18 months during which no zerg ever used any infestors and claimed it was a bad unit. What I'm trying to say is that if you transpose modern zerg play and maps to old patches (no, not to reaper era), zerg will probably will be well balanced. Which means that Blizzard should never have patched the game after fixing the 5 rax reaper xD | ||

Yes he is in the finals right now. But if you look at how many seasons he's been in, he never really got far at all. Thats not high end code s to me, if you are high end you end there consistenly. Calling out Ryung as no skill - The guy has been in Ro4 twice, Ro8 twice, and generally been around in code s for longer time consistenly. Sure it's an achievement making it to the finals, but that doesn't make you high end code s player - consistenly ending high up does. One good run doesn't make you high end. To many variables included, to determine if you make it all the way - So you can't judge high end from a single run. At least i can, but you can feel free to think otherwise. | ||

10 months ago Sniper was playing a very close series against Mvp in the last round of Code A, as a kid who just turned 17. Compared to Ryung, who has been a mediocre player bouncing between Code A and Code S for ages, without ever winning anything, ever all killing in team leagues, nothing. Just the perfect picture of mediocrity. | ||

Before it was the same damage over 8 seconds instead of 4. The DPS essentially got doubled if you have enough infestors to keep it up. Before that people simply preferred muta's since they allowed very easy harass (at the time since pro's couldn't defend right to it yet) | ||

Sniper is just like Jjakji, a player who won when the meta-game was ridiculously in Terran's favour and who has now fallen off. We'll see when HotS is here. | ||

I'm still not sure but I'm not sure that reverting this change in the current game and going back to a 8 seconds root would really be a nerf. Well it would be a nerf in ZvP I suppose, where the dps is more important I think ? I also not talk about every change, for instance the hit point buffs for hatcheries/nexus was good. But in the current map pool the old medivac speed would be good (they nerfed it when xelnaga caverns was still played in every tournament). The problem (if there is a problem), is that all these patches were fixing problems that the modern maps also fixed, which is why it possibly went too far in the changes. | ||
