And who cares if he actually is the current world champion or whatever.... TV is going to spruce up their show to get interest and viewers. Let them. That means they are sprucing up our game.

have TLO on there, or another Korean so the stigma of games being for Koreans (the world champions don't ooze cool points either to the normal joe) sticks even more. TLO is cool as fuck, if they are to lie who the world champion is; at least TLO was the one they lied about. (even if it was a mistake)

With whiterah and idra close behind. Oh wait that was 2 years ago. Well at some point he had a case for being maybe the best. A very small case.

Well either way, I'm glad the scene is getting more recognition, and TLO is an awesome guy to be advertising our e-sport!

(even if it was a mistake) It's not a big deal but lying heavily about Starcraft 2 won't help anyone because it's quite obvious if you pay a second of attention it's korea dominated.

'World championship player' sounds better than 'high-level but not really the best even outside of Korea' in a ten-second commercial. This kind of approach is why so much of the press is utterly unreliable and pathetic in everything they do. On the other hand, cool to see TLO grabbing some media appearances. ![]()

The whole point is so people who don't pay a second of attention to sc2 do. If they choose to not like it because of korean domination then they weren't going to like it anyways. Just the fact that people might pay an ounce of attention or investors might think a little less of gaming because of they way TLO might be portrayed as a person is reason enough this lie isn't a bad one. Its simple advertisement 101. Say whatever you need to say to get someone to take the first step, then let the product do its job. If a person is appalled at the korean domination then they wouldn't of cared for sc2 ANYWAYS. If not then job well done. Just because we value this sport does not mean we should not succumb to simple advertising techniques. Let the in crowd organizations do the real reporting, let the outside ones say whatever they want to say.. as long as it makes the game seem attractive.
