First of all I dont know why Adam feels so butthurt on twitter. I actually havent read any bitching about MLG being assholes in all this.
That said what doesn't make sense at all is why the hell did rain/rain's management didn't say he was going to MLG? I mean MLG have all the reasons to get Rain to go to their event. He's the main attraction in SC2 right now. Gom obviously want to see Rain play in their tournament because he's one of the 3 favorites to win it all. Rain has all the rights to go to MLG because it's gonna be a sick event, he's getting to see foreign fans, he will be treated like a king, he will get the sickest ovation whenever he's in the building and he has a chance to make a shit ton of money.
That said just don't freakin announce it when you're halfway into the first round of code S holy f*ck! Seriously that's just retarded.
Let's say in the NFL the Cowboys are suppose to host a game on Sunday afternoon and on wednesday they call the NFL and they are like oh wait we just signed a deal with Justin Bieber we booked two shows one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Sorry Mr. Goodell I think we should re-schedule our game next week we have a bye week. OH WAIT I didn't look at the other team schedule and they are playing another game next week. OHOHOHOHO SORRY I guess they can't really play 2 games in the same week-end can they?
Just how fucking retarded is this. Why are people so dumb? In the end it's just people watching starcraft trying to see the best player compete as often as possible that pays the price. Do I want Rain to absolutely destroy MLG and show the best game possible? YESSSSSS!!! Holy moly yes I do if you're asking again. Do I want Rain to play with a week of preparation against 32 of the 40-45 best players in the world in GSL. If you're asking me that question as well. Well... YES I DO! Thanks for asking.
But why does it have to be so retarded that it has to be one or the other? The more Rain plays the better it is for Starcraft in general because there are maybe 5-10 players at his skill level and none of them has the appeal Rain has these days.
Starcraft stop being so retarded please STOP! Who's Adam...
Adam Apicella, one of the organizers for MLG

SlayerS had a bad management when Boxer was on the team, and now SKT1 informs GOM too late, something is amazingly coincident.

You don't know why Adam is upset? How about because he just worked hard to get Rain to MLG on short notice and now people are shitting on it? Yeah I'd be upset too.

How is this a good decision by Rain?
They've just broken a hole into the thin ice GOM and Kespa were doing their little ice skating thing on. With this, I expect even more drama between GOM and Kespa to start up despite it just starting to cool down.

What if rain personally made the decision after his team had given gom his schedule? After all that's what Adam posted here on TL when rains attendance was first announced. I do not blame rain at all for such a decision, for the reasons stated in my post above.

Adam is always insanely defensive on twitter. I'm not sure why, I feel like he knows about MLGs shortcomings and wants to fix them but can't so he gets defensive about everything.
If you see a lot of the shit that gets tweeted at him, you would understand why. He (and a lot of the MLG staff, really) gets a LOT of undeserved hate.

Too bad they couldn't work this out, I had him as the favorite to win this season. Oh well MLG isn't a bad pay day either and the competition is a step lower.

But nobody shat on MLG at all here. There were 0 comments regarding MLG in the matter in any conversation and Adam was getting defensive, all of the comments were regarding gsl/gom/kespa/osl/rain.

On the bright side, IPL 12-win-streak HyuN gets a slight 'seed' in his group for his efforts, and the overall champion of this Code S season is considerably more up in the air with Rain out.

Still <3 you, Rain.
Hope he wrecks through the entire MLG field (not unlikely) and crushes some fools in U/D matches and wins Code S next season.
All fair-weather fans, this is your stop, so get your flimsy asses of the bus :D

We could not change Rain's schedule without interfering with the participation of players in other tournaments, and informed SKT1 that we could not change his schedule.
GOM could have switched group D and group B schedule. Group B had Symbol/Hack/Roro/Happy none of them are going to MLG. But it is a really short notice for the players...

But if he honestly forfeited his Code S seed for a CHANCE at winning $25,000 and having to go ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE OPEN BRACKET, then he might be the best player in the world, but not the best decision maker. Hopefully GSL does what they did with (other)Rain and suspend him for a season. Rain was one of the GSL's main stars after S4 and could have been a reason why a lot of people bought a ticket.
I guess making a big name for himself in America is a good move, and he does have WCS Global Finals also this month that he might have put more priority on than Code S, but it seems like a foolish move. If he was in group play, I can maybe see it, but what happens if he rolls MC in the OB, loses a PvP and then has to win 30 matches in a row to even make Championship Sunday?
Edit: I just realized this is the second time in history a player has given up their Code S seed willingly. BOTH WERE NAMED RAIN. I thought they suspended Rain for a year not a season. And Idra also gave up Code S willingly, so 3 players?
I think hes talking about giving it up to play for MLG, because i know Sen forfeited his spot for Code S too :S
