I'm confused trying to understand this though. From what I gather, Manager J accused Jessica of embezzling sponsorship money to MMA. MMA believes him so MMA asks Boxer if this is true. Boxer tells MMA that he will find out and goes and asks Jessica if it's true. From the first part of Jessica's answer up above, I think she's trying to say that her reaction to Boxer was sadness, asking why he would ask such a thing of her, since that's something she would tell him about and not hide from him?
After that Boxer goes to tell MMA that no there is no weirdness going on (from MMA's interview)
But Jessica then claims here that she "later found out" that two companies offered sponsorships for MMA but that somehow they ended up going to Boxer instead. The rest of her answer I couldn't understand what she was trying to say.
If that's true, that is a MASSIVE MISTAKE / OVERSIGHT on her part. She tells Boxer that no money or sponsorships have been diverted from MMA when in reality TWO sponsorships were "taken" from MMA and sent to Boxer.
If I was in MMA's shoes and found out about that... I would be incredibly pissed off. I would feel like I had been lied to, and I wouldn't trust anything my managers said to me any more.
Seriously, that is a HUGE goof up on Jessica's part for telling Boxer everything was fine before actually going and finding out what the hell was going on with their sponsorships first. Yeah, I'm glad someone brought this up and I wish the interviewer did a follow up question. MMA says a personal sponorship for him went to boxer. Jessica admits company N and company S offered personal sponsorship for MMA, but it somehow ended up going to boxer. Then she goes off on a tangent asking if players should even ask managers these questions. WTF?! Isn't Jessica admitting right there, that MMA was right and that a sponsorship for him did go to boxer? How did that happen? How could the interviewer overlook that statement and not ask a followup question and go, wtf didn't you just say a personal sponsorship for MMA never happened just a few sentences ago, but now you say it did in fact happen? I am not sure if it is a translation issue but I read it that company N and company S went to Boxer, as in these companies went to Boxer to negotiate, and Jessica was not involved in this issue at all. That is my reading of the English translation by the wording of it. I don't think she means that these two companies ended up sponsoring Boxer instead of MMA, which was their original intention. The wording is not clear. This is the exact quote from the ESFI translation and another translator will have to verify this. Slayers Jessica
What I later found out was that company N and company S offered sponsorships for MMA but they went to BoxeR instead. The word, "instead" was used implying that it was supposed to go to MMA first, but instead went to Boxer. That translation is a bit off. Here's the actual, more clear translation done by me (only for that part) since I'm getting tired of these slightly inaccurate translations. http://www.inven.co.kr/webzine/news/?news=48923Note that I am going by inven's interview with Jessica. ALSO NOTE: Jessica talks about two sponsorships. The interview with inven deals with each of the sponsors separately. Here's the translation of the part regarding the sponsors. ----MMA raised questions regarding the personal sponsorship issue. Jessica: The sponsor decided to change its personal sponsorship from MMA to Boxer. You can confirm easily by checking with the said sponsor. There was another "sponsor" that Manager J suggested. At first, Manager J said that it was possible for MMA to have a personal sponsorship from this "sponsor", but later Manager J said the sponsor company was sponsoring another player in a different team so the company was unable to sponsor MMA. I checked later with the company (Note: the one mentioned by J) and the company replied that there was no contact at all between Manager J and the company. It was a ploy by Manager J to create dissent between the team and the team members. Note: Jessica includes both sponsor companies in her interview with TIG so the translation of TIG's interview will be slightly different from the interview with Inven. do you feel like either Inven or TIG has gotten something wrong here? I'm getting conflicting messages from them.
I think Inven might be the one that made a mistake because MMA refers specifically to the sponsor issue with Manager J which was about Manager J telling MMA that his personal sponsorship was being snatched by Boxer. But in this interview, when Jessica talks about the personal sponsorship change, Manager J is not mentioned at all, and only mentioned in the 2nd sponsorship.

Thanks for the translation Frost, we really appreciate it!
I wonder what the deal was with the first sponsorship changing. Wonder why the sponsor decided to change it from MMA to Boxer. I can definitely see MMA getting suspicious there. This helps to explain why when Manager J made up the story about the second sponsorship that MMA would believe him.

Can't believe what? Take the official translations with a grain of salt. I haven't gotten around to verifying the accuracy of all of them, but some of the words used in the translations I noticed can cause misinterpretation due to slightly incorrect uses.

Maybe both of them did the interview with her at the same time, and the reporters took down different things or something 0.o Just throwing out ideas. Or maybe two different interviews(?! That'd be quite crazy)
Anyway, there're frequently different versions of what seems like the same interview on fomos and dailyesports too. Same situation maybe? But I'd personally trust TiG since they seem more reputable

tyner, before you spew out uninformed stuff about what you think Axiom will do, try reading their statement on the issue? Officially they pretty much have stated they will do the opposite of what you claim:

Interesting stuff. In the end, I wonder who is telling the truth. I'd guess there's an ounce of truth any all of their statements.

Ah yes, empathy. Such a compassion human! Calling you a nobody would be an insult to somebody, somewhere

I'm really happy about the way MMA expressed himself. He admits faults, appologizes and overall is quite humble. That makes his story a whole lot more believable than the one-sidied storm of accusations that jessica offers (not for the first time).
|
Over and over again, drama surfaces around Jessica. Never followed any of these conflicts in Korea very closely, but it seems like every time something happens she's in the midst of it all, tweeting and making statements and having accusations fly about and demanding apologies.
As great as she might be as a person, the responsibilities/requirements of a team manager are clearly not for her.
It seems likely to me that the player's side of the story is mostly the correct one, there's only so many times that people can be bullied into silence/apologizing before it becomes apparent that things aren't what they seem. Well done by MMA on speaking up.
