It's no different from any other business really. You can't be successful without blood dripping down your fingers.

+9999 No, you disband because you have no $ponsors and half your roster is unmotivated/quit Read again please. Money/sponsors wasn't the issue, motivation was not the issue (I'm quite sure even I can find player motivated to play for Slayers) and results were not the issue. Drama, treason and lack of (honest) communication between the Korean SC2 community are the issue. And yes, Slayers was disbanded because she was butt hurt and had enough basically. Yeah but how can you lift an embargoe like that... It was a conspiracy against her and now the conspirator has admitted it too

I read Boxer's bio and I regard him as an incredibly strong and incredibly ethical person, but he's never had someone along for the ride before. I was shocked beyond belief when I heard he'd quit his team. I could have seen him _dissolving_ the team, but not leaving it while someone else was in charge.
Something similar to this happened to the band Sepultura in the 90s, one of the most fucking ultimate metal acts of life. The lead singer's wife got involved in management of the band, and whether she was good at it or not, it created a lot of tension and voila, they split. gg
</theorycraft> Dude the issue is that esf blacklisted all slayers players They had noone to practice with The second part of the issue (and probably contributed just as much to Slayers' dissolve) is the manager "J." Why would players like MMA trust him so much after a couple of months, when they've known Boxer and Jessica for years? There must have been some serious tension between Jessica and the players, and Boxer probably couldn't do much about it, without either harming his relationship with his long-term girlfriend, or damaging his relationship with his players. It seems like the latter was what happened, but we'll need some more information on why it happened, and specifically, who the hell this "J" character is. Remember when Jessica made a big fuss on twitter about how boxer was betrayed and how the twitter and facebook were no longer theirs? Remember when everyone said she was just a drama queen and overreacting? This kind of puts it in perspective. ("J" was the foreign community manager who handled these sorts of things, at least from my understanding)
Yeah, it does make more sense now. However, the big question is why were MMA and others willing to trust him so much? The answer is probably a combination of what Jessica said in the OP, and Boxer having to side with Jessica over the players in regards to some internal drama (such as GSTL practice, Jessica's domineering and dramatic personality, etc.). I'd just like to know more about those areas, and about this "J" character in general. Hopefully players like MMA would come forth and talk about it soon.

And excluded in foreign events. Jessica adding fuel to the fire by waging war over twitter didn't help.

It's a strong-arming tactic and it's simply business. If you aren't with us; you're against mentality. Hey what's SC2Con's purpose again? Protecting the players. So how's that "protecting their players"?
SC2Con probably wanted to keep eSF players away from the SlayerS mentality to 'hop' teams and made an example out of them.

Wow, there so much hate on MMA. It looks like everyone on Slayers was siding on MMA and Jessica would have none of that. MMA is like the bastard child of Boxer. I feel bad for Boxer, I mean he spent so much time to build this team, I feel that you should never mix in your relationship with work. It just doesn't make sense why would you have your gf/fiance manage your team when she has no experience in esports..
MMA was not the cancer of Slayers, it was Jessica and we all know it.. I just hope I don't get sued for "slandering" her with stuff she doesn't want to hear.
I hope Boxer has a good time back home at SKT1. Boxer is always a miracle worker wherever he is and pretty sure SKT1 ain't have none of that Jessica influencing them.

We heard Alicia's, which mainly points the finger at Jessica, apparently.
Though he may be biased because she tried to sue him =P

The embargo probably did bring them down. But I don't understand why they didn't try to fight it instead of accepting it. All they had to do is call out ESF and the public outcry would have forced them to revise their decision.

But isn't it normal to place embargo on practicing with other teams or teams outside the federation? KesPA teams donot really practice with each other, let alone the eSF's teams.

Yeah. The embargo is incredibly underhanded, but them just sitting on it is really... stupid.

This is exactly why Kespa was formed.

Do you mean Ganzi's case? If that's so, IM_Hirai said that SC2Con bore no grudge on Slayers in this case.

KesPA teams donot really practice with each other, let alone the eSF's teams. KeSPA players might help each other at times when it comes to individual league matches (i.e. Flash giving Fantasy a build for Last BW OSL finals). They know what to keep secret, but they also share some things between friends.
In this case, the teams were ORDERED not to practice with particular team, and then it was LIFTED (meaning, the other teams didn't have any restrictions on practicing with one another, except with SlayerS).
