It was inappropriate, so it was sanctioned. no need for a 120 pages debate on the word abused from a french guy . And yeah we all fucking agree : rape is bad, pedostuff is bad ... we got your point guys. Waving your arms in the air yelling about a joke isn't gonna help your ladder points,plus you Americans need to practice to reach the Europeans level  | ||

Basically the media outlet will say 'offensive tweet' but not actually reproduce it so that the audience can actually make up its mind regarding how they feel about it. Offense is a very malleable thing, and only with reproduction can we actually decide as a reader whether it was, or wasn't offensive. Consent laws are there for a reason too, but equally they are a catchall policy, not to mention they vary from country to country. You'll have people at 15 or 16 who are extremely mature for their age, but legally in some countries cannot give consent, likewise you'll have people in their 20s who are complete fucktards. Not advocating for their removal by any means, but people mature at different rates. Also for all the people saying Stephano has acted very immaturely, well then maybe he's just finding his level with the young ones right? | ||

Even if it was, suspension is very well deserved, defending him against suspension is silly, defending him against rape is justified. If it wasn't a joke ........ | ||

It's huge difference when u are still somewhat young, and 5 years is a HUGE difference. If Stephano was 29 and this girl 24, then ofc no problem. But this? You guys are fuckin sick. That's pretty ironic really, given the amount of people who defended Joe Paterno for doing nothing about actual child abuse because he was a good football coach. Not saying it was the majority of you good folk by any means, but it was a sizeable minority, even on TL which I feel in general is a bit more educated than the general populace of its constituent nations. | ||
