I have used 3rd-party programs to remap keys on my non-driver, non-gaming keyboard as well as to use KEY+KEY function (So it doesnt have to be control plus --- shift plus --- alt pluss- all the time which annoyingly starcraft 2 doesnt allow you to do in hotkey setup otherwise i wouldnt have started this thread
Problem:
I am lefthander, hence why I have trouble using CTRL, ALT and shift for commands in starcraft 2. I am playing with my hotkey-layour throughout the middle area above the space button, and I can clearly proove and claim that my use of 3rd-party programs does not anyhow change the game or be some sort of cheat.
The problem is that all tournaments almost say something like "NO 3rd party programs are allowed - drivers must be told to the administrators before arriving at the lan so we can pre-install the drivers"
I do for example use "M" as my control-key to 1-10 control grps and K as my add-to-control grp ETC. Since its only possible to do these reamps with 3rd party programs I am asking here:
- Is my method of "violating" the rules actually illegal? Some tournaments say that driver/3rd party programs may only be installed with administrative superivision.
- Is there any LEGAL way I can remap my keys (including, ctrl, shift, alt, etc)?
Thank you.
