Maybe, but for the most part the popular players are also the best players. Also, it is us, the community, the stream, viewers who are e-sports, or at least so we are told time and time again. There is nothing wrong with a competition for fan favorites. For example the NBA's AllStar weekend is one of the most entertaining events in all of sports imo. But no one is suggesting that the winning team there is the best team, right? We got the actual playoffs for that. So there is also nothing wrong with this tournament (except for its name - call it the GSL World AllStars instead..), its a competition for fan favorites and as soon as people understand it they can start enjoying it for what it is instead of complaining about it As I said earlier, for finding out the best - we got the actual World Championship Series or GSL Code S for that. | ||

The bottom half has the other favorites. Not sure who will win there. It would be easy to say Scarlett or Major but its pretty stacked. | ||
