MM/DD is just from writing it the way we say it. September 17th is shorter to say than 17th of september. I guess we just like being efficient?

I love how you all have been arguing over dates for the last few pages in a patch notes thread.
Also, Barrin's idea of 6m1hyg goes to trash with the change of rich vespene geysers, that makes me sad.

there are 4 Terran players in the 32 qualified for their own world championship lol

im second to this
1 terran from EU
2 terran from NA
1 terran from SA

assuming the asian qualifier dominated by korean
there will be no more terran qualified for the main event
even if not dominated by korean it was 3 terran out of 32 player in asian qualifier
so i guess that was it

Year-Month-Day format is best format. I also kind of wish adjectives came after nouns in English... would make file sorting easier.

big document
big game
big video
new document
new game
new video
old document
old game
old video
small document
small game
small video

Sorting by adjectives or more specific descriptors before the general ones makes less sense to me...

Why on Earth people where I live go Month-Day-Year in a COMPLETELY disordered fashion confounds me.

Lmfao this community will even have a country vs country argument over date formats...and you expect your other arguments to be taken seriously? You're probably the same people who think you're bringing up good, worthwhile points when you perpetuate drama threads lol.

The main problem is that this patch is BORING and so we're all beating our heads into the wall waiting for SC2 to come back up.

Is this bug fixed? It is pretty annoying really.

I've never encountered the Zerg bug they mentioned, but glad that it is fixed. That bug sounds horrible.

I am so glad that the current season ranking is displayed.

The 1.5.1? patch only showed the best ranking achieved. Then I have to click for the career, placement, ladder, current season, etc only to find out that they are currently in plat (instead of diamond which was the highest achieved).

No going to ladder/patch today until someone tells me that the SEA ladder is fixed. NA is down too so yeah, homework I guess.

Custom maps still should allow for 8 vespene per trip.

"The AlternateLowTextures variable has been re-enabled in variables.txt."

Is this something that you can use if you have performance issues? Or what is this?

Not really. The new textures (for the "low" detail settings) look better while saving a bit of memory (because they come without an alpha channel.) This variable can be reset to revert back to the old "low" look, but the old look does not perform better.

Wasn't concluded that that idea wasn't as effective as it thought it would be anyways?

Okay, so in which patch they are actually going to delete protoss?
Joking apart, this patch is not really big thing, but I am glad that Blizzard is constantly working on their game. And the league icon is now centered, it was really bugging me.

"Date formats now display in the proper format according to region." YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

Finally! No more stupid MM/DD/YYYY!

This. So much this. I mean, Middle/Smallest/Biggest, who the fuck came up with that?

I hope that when this hits EU (if it hasn't already) that it sorts out the terrible lag issues I've had recently.

Today's date is September 17th, 2012. Month Day, Year. That's how everyone says it, that's who came up with that...

I have never heard it said that way in my life, You would literally say It is the "17'th of September, 2012", as the normal standard here and id bet in most of europe.

"Thats how everyone says it" is an arrogant and wrong statement unless you count "everyone" as being the population of the US

17 September, 2012 is called military time and is the accepted way to say it in military organizations. As i am not european, i can not comment on that aspect...

EDIT: didn't realize that there was a huge drama thing about this before i posted. sorry for perpetuating...
