The textbook example of a broadcaster pulling this off to perfection is "Gentleman" Jeff Marek when he went from "Pro Wrestling Radio Host" to "Hockey Night In Canada Anchorman". For Lindsey she merely sees "the SC2 Community" as a "means to a greater end". and that "end" does not include being a Hostess at the BNet World Championships in China. Jared Cale and Sporrer aren't equivalent at all, the former like him or not has shown a history of following the game and being passionate for E-sports. Can't remember some examples, but I think he helped out some people in the scene financially as well, way back. Yeah let's legitimise E-sports by using token pretty faces for our coverage! There are plenty of girls in the scene who can do that without it being a transparent springboard to other things. Soe is a good example of a girl who is there on merit and knowledge, also happens to be attractive which is a bonus in a hosting capacity, but she's got a history of involvement in the scene. Veralynn was one of the last female players to get any kind of sponsorship, despite being grandmaster on both EU and NA. People like me, who don't venerate women based on their lucks but on their passion or dedication want to see more Scarletts, more Veralynns. That's all

Maybe she legitimately wants to get into it, or maybe she just wants to get some money out of virgin neckbeards. Who knows? I'm willing to give her a chance cause I don't give a fuck.

Why do you care about her? There are so many good players but the community focuses their attention to gamer that have tits instead of gamers that actually play the fucking game well. She basically comes to the sc community asks everyone for their attention and demands help for the fact that she has tits. And the only thing that is worse than that is that you actually support her doing so

We all know day9 doesn't do coaching it's been publicly stated he doesn't do let's go out and ask publicly if he can help us... Let's not look at the 400+ dailies he has done lets not even do any research at all let's just use our good looks to strong arm him into it. If she wants to legitimately wants to learn SC2 then props to her but do some research on your own stop begging for help. Fanboys may now flame me

No seriously, this is great news. She may be in it just for the publicity, in fact, that's definitely what it's about. So what? That's good for e-sports and she is super cute.

She is not attempting to interview people with far superior gameknowledge about things she has barely heard of. Even if it fails beyond belief (it might), I am intrigued.

If you are a noob and want to learn about the game... you don't tweet day9 for help. You watch the videos and/or pay for a coach. You don't need to do it public.

There is only one reason Lindsey went for Day9 she wanted a share of his huge viewership. Sadly, if she even gets gold league she would probably get 3000+ viewers with a cute dress on. This crosses the line between striving to make gaming a career and exploiting gaming to make celebrity a career.
