Fayth's attempts at damage limitation were pretty bad, but I don't think TT1 did anything particularly wrong. Given how rumours need quashed at the source (see my mention of 'Destiny got nudes off a 15 year-old'), and Catz doesn't appear to be about at the minute I think TT1 was being reasonably responsible in clearing up certain misconceptions.

But before you continue down your path of accusations, take this hypothetical:
Imagine Destiny had logged on to Bluetea's Skype and found a conversation between her and her friends discussing the picture he'd shared with her in private, saying his dick is nice, but his face is butt-fugly and his gut is flabby as [insert imagery here]. Destiny (contrary to everything we know about him, I'm sure most would agree), takes great offense, and decides to retaliate by posting the chat log and Bluetea's nudes on her Facebook, Twitter, etc.
In this hypothetical, is there a scenario in which Destiny isn't unanimously (and rightfully IMHO) branded as the bad guy? Is there a scenario in which any real sum of people in the community (aside from the Destiny fanboys blindly defending his every action) holds Bluetea at fault for this debacle?
Destiny was given nude pictures and propositioned by a girl he, I can only assume, does not actually know that well, save for his Skype 2v2 sessions with him. He shared those pictures with two close friends. Yes, it was stupid to leave a chat log of TT1 and Fayth open for Bluetea to access if he didn't want those things publicized. His punishment is the distribution of that chat log and the dick pics on the internet, as well as the suspicion of his live-in girlfriend. Please, someone tell me what further punishment he deserves.
When my big brother used to bully me when I was a kid, I would hit him, and go crying to my mom when it didn't work. My mother used to tell me that I could either take it into my own hands to retaliate OR I could leave her to lay down the law, so to speak. If you're going to attempt revenge, don't expect the powers-that-be to take over for you when you find out your nemesis has thicker skin than you do.
Hopefully Destiny comes back from Poland better trained and *fingerscrossed* a little more mature, and ROOT gets afforded the chance to take him back. I'm sure both parties would be happy for that to work out.

Chain of command goes player > team > sponsors in this instance, why skip out the team management when you've got issues with a player's conduct?

From a personal perspective, as someone who works at a university, if I were ever caught making comments of this nature or sharing around lewd images, be it privately or publicly, I would lose my job so quickly my head would spin.
And as for the ongoing argument in this thread that 'everyone does this with their friends but Destiny & co. were just unlucky and were caught out', might I just point you to this:

what doesnt work in this comparison is that Destiny is a public figure. He should have the smartness to not expect his nudes to not get shared. Whether or not bluetea should expect that is up for debate, as she is not a public figure, just a girl who liked attention from a famous guy.
Additionally, why would anyone hire him on their team? he is not a winner of tournaments, so hes more of a "character player," like incontrol and others. if his character and personality becomes toxic to a brand, what value does he hold?
even if he was a good player, why would any sponsor put their name next to a guy whos such a shitmagnet? him booted off the team is not "punishment," its business

Bluetea uses Destiny's account to commit a crime. Exposing minors to explicit material without consent.
Common sense and "decency" don't change the facts. Destiny did nothing against the law.

It's not an argumentum ad populum, it's about people's private lives. Just because you'd lose your job doesn't make the behavior wrong, or even were it wrong, termination an appropriate response.

Destiny shares said pics with his friends. They exercise their right to free speech regarding said pics, Bluetea uses Destiny's account to commit a crime. Exposing minors to explicit material without consent. Common sense and "decency" don't change the facts. Destiny did nothing against the law.
He did nothing against the law. But what he doesn't wasn't decent, and thus he isn't in jail, he is off a sponsored team.
And that is how it should be.
OJ Simpson may not have been found guilty, and thus he did nothing "against the law" when his wife was murdered, but you don't see sponsors lining up to do business with him.
