Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

Pretty sure they have more than enough money. Let's buy everyone! BD

You would all shut up right there. Puma won stuff at the start of being in EG too. It takes a while for the slump to kick in. Love how the theory of the EG curse and the evidence gets so easily melded by anyone who wants it to be accepted despite those pesky facts. Now it's that the curse doesn't start right away...in that case I trust you're just as vocal about the liquid curse. In b4 "but Taeja!!1!"
Idra was once the best foreign zerg and had some of the best zvt in the world, where is he at now?
Puma was once touted as once of the most promising terrans in the world with the best tvp, where is he at now?
JYP was once touted as one of the best protoss in the world with the best PvZ in the world, where is he at now?
HuK was once a code S player and in the shortlist for best foreigner, where is he at now?
Of course the EG curse is mostly a joke, but don't try to act as if it's not based on actual observations. So you wan't the EG curse to mean a literal curse? as if by just signing a contract with EG magically made you suck at starcraft? of course it's not going to be like that, if EG has any effect on the quality of their players, whether positive or negative, it would OBVIOUSLY take some time to be noticeable. Rather than trying to shut down the EG curse theory (which I remind you it's a joke and not real) try to find examples of players improving under the EG roof.

awesome! EG ♥

I do understand they keeping incontrol. He has a natural talent to bring attention to the team, he is such a nice guy.
But then u look at Machine, Lzgamer and they have been with EG forever and never brought any attention to the team, neither results. That's probably why the new players don't get hunger for wins. They look at the team and the guys that have been there for so long and think if they would ever get kicked from the team with guys like machine and lzgamer. I like how you know their salaries and assume that LZgamer and Machine are paid tons of money. Living at the team house is not a huge expense and they all pay for their own food. I also like how you assume it makes people lazy. Getting paid more has never made me work less, but I guess you work by different rules. And if you don't understand why they keep Incontrol, you don't know how PR works or coaching works. Seriously, team captians are rarely the best players on the field. They are the ones who keep the other player's heads in the game. Well we are actually talking about kids earning to play games so yeah i assume they do get lazy as soon as they see more money than what they actually dreamed off. and you actually missread because i said the only one i do understand why they keep in the house is Incontrol exactly for being the good guy he is. Except that they would be motivated to keep performing well because then they could get their contract renewed or get an even better salary. Not that your theory that progamers are only motivated by money is valid. But hey at least you tried to string some reasoning together into an argument. Next time maybe your logic won't run into a brick wall lol.
Well i will have to state again since you guys don't read everything. I already stated that there is no point in keep performing since most of the players contract still gets renewed aka lzgamer, machine, etc..
And incontrol already said plenty of times in SOTG that they DO consider a 20th to 30th place a great place so it's not that hard to achieve that when you are huk, puma, jyp or even stephano.

I think that big raidcall sponsorship EG got recently basically pay for Stephano´s salery. I don't know how they are so good at getting sponsors but other teams defiantly need to copy the EG business model unless they want to see all there super players go to EG

they've paid enough money to the point where they're a title sponsor, like LG or TLAF.
still. I do still wonder just because Stephano can't be cheap at all, and they already have a lot of hot pick ups that aren't very visible in the scene right now.

Yes, they are properly there biggest sponsor now since they are a name sponsor. I don't know what kind of money we talking about but million of dollars might not be to fare off

I think EG would be best off hiring a professional coach to work on their existing talent which many people have already pointed out - have fallen off the radar. With proper coaching and strict training regimes, this should produce noticeable changes in the overall team performance.

well gratz on the money stephano, but now stephano winning all the time won't happen since he is eg xD.

Based on ? Does anyone know how much sponsor money EG gets ? Does anyone know the players' contract terms ? Who knows if EG don't collect money on their players' streams revenues once they're contracted (maybe the player gets less ad income monthly but gains stability on a 12 months forecast)? Tournament wins ? Ad revenues ? Youtube channel revenues ? Donations ? And so on, and so on. I don't, but many of them players get a lot of exposure, and as far as I know, exposure means money on the table. I'm sure it's a win-win situation, whether you like (some of) their players or not, EG management doesn't seem to have a history of silly economical moves.

I'm pretty sure SK is one of the team who is negotiating for Stephano. So could happen but my money on EG

that is sad for Millenium, and EG is not really the best choice, as we no longer see their progamers in tournaments...
But they seem to have the best wallet...
GLHF to him, let's hope he wont become just a memory !!

RE: Raidcall.
That raidcall is their main sponsor now is clear. however, what I'm asking is if raidcall is actually a major company with millions to spend.

kind of the point i'm making.
since no one does know, there's always the possibility that they have less of a budget than perceived.
i'm not saying it's probable, but again, no one knows their finances.
