People can be so clueless and make so much stuff up, as can be seen in this thread. If you think about it, it's a very obvious reason. Players need money to continue their careers. It's a fact, and oftentimes that need has to overcome team loyalty, for obvious reasons. This doesn't make a player the bad guy. All the players that left Eclypsia said they did so because the management made claims they couldn't follow up on and had too much ambition for where they were actually at. However, they all said they were paid fine and the contract was not broken, just that they miscommunicated goals. Furthermore, NaNiwa recently mentioned in his real talk that Dignitas is very "safe" with their money, not willing to take risks and invest a lot of money into a particular player. SjoW left Dignitas for EC because they offered him more money. It is as simple as that, and it makes perfect sense. | ||

Eclypsia made some PR mistakes but that doesn't mean they are not a legitimate team. I believe desRow said the 4 of them left over a clash of focus/vision for the SC2 team. He also said the players were paid everything they were owed according to contract. I wonder if Dignitas will now extend an offer to Naniwa since he made it clear on Real Talk that it's where he wants to be. | ||
