Sometimes parts of this community make me scratch my head in confusion. As others have pointed out amongst the flood of "Why Eclypsia? They have such a bad reputation." Scarlett/Desrow leaving Eclypsia wasn't over money, it was over other internal issues, which as far as I'm aware we don't have the specifics of. It may have just been that Eclypsia was unable to fulfill an agreement or one of the players had expectations that couldn't be met at that time. Things change, teams can get better or worse but sometimes I get the feeling that if a team makes one misstep there are elements of this community that would forever believe they're a bad team (or conversely a perfect team if they had one shining moment of glory) and not want any players to give them a chance. We're all spectators, we're just watching from the outside and we don't ever get the nitty gritty details or at least not all of them. Sjow is a professional and Sjow has to look out for Sjow's best interest. In all likelihood Sjow knows what we know, and Sjow has chosen to leave Dignitas and join Eclypsia which means that Sjow most likely knows something about Eclypsia that we do not. Perhaps Eclypsia will go on to be an absolutely amazing team, perhaps they've taken fan/player feedback to heart and made critical changes or perhaps the earlier drama was just a tragic misstep. Maybe it is a bad team like some people say, maybe there will be financial issues, maybe a lot of things, but since Sjow is a professional we should give him the benefit of the doubt and think that for some reason he has reason to believe that this move is best for his future. Either way congratulations again to both Sjow and Eclypsia and I wish them all the best of luck.

Like everyone else, I too am a little confused. I mean I guess EC is a cool team, rooted for them vs the korean powerhouses in IPLTAC, but compared to d.? Hmmm well best of luck to Sjow, got my vote no matter the team. Kinda like Nani, which in his case in particular is important ![]()

But apparently it is, and I respect SjoW, so best of luck to him. I hope he made the right decision, although I really liked him on Dignitas.

He was having a bad time recently and he is one of those players that is always considered a "serious competition" regardless of results, much like White ra, Kas, Darkforce... etc He really built his brand with dignitas and since he was still pro gaming at his age he was likely getting a salary that was "good enough" for him. Joining a shady, shitty team is the exact move that ( if it goes wrong )could bring him from "not doing so well recently" level to obscurity level imo.
