yeah this has actually been annoying me a lot today. Hard to focus on the screen. Maybe in a few days I'll forget and be used to it though. Probably not worth causing a fuss about just yet.

Agreed, this is the main thing I noticed in the new UI. Although I don't really care since it takes less than a week to get used to it and forget there was ever anything different.

I don't actually care that they changed the UI, but I don't like it as much as the old one. I won't complain though as it doesn't change my play at all.

I agree 100%, it's annoying.

It's funny how todays UI are getting less and less borders to the point of being borderless. The SC2 UI is just doing the opposite Xd
I want to know who at blizzard designed this.

I was going to post something about how you've obviously never worked with HTML, where you have your content, then a layer of padding, then a border, then a layer of margin. Then I counted and there are actually more layers in the button layout. That's hilarious.

I forgot CSS3 supports drop-shadow. I think you could style those buttons as a single element with HTML5.
