constant freezes, sometimes lags, less fps. Gj blizz you did it again. Just when you think a game can't get worse .... Boom, a patch appears.
Oh and by the way, when I say freeze, I say the game get stuck for mb 5-10 secs and keeps repeating same last sound like a broken disc. I'm so sick of blizzard.
SC2 usually uses 40% of my CPU and at time its spikes at 95% while the freezes. Only in sc2, DotA2 works just fine.

Downloading necessary files while already playing. Zzz why does it need to dl files when previous patches dont? Probably just the map or something else. Previous patches did that too. But this patch turned SC2 into a streaming game like Diablo, so you can already start playing if you downloaded the most important files, while the rest will download during play.

Sorry if this has been discussed but does the mini map fog of war looks different now? Seems like the border between explored and unexplored territory is much clearer now.

it really felt different first but i really liked the team healthbar color option. maybe people can use this instead of STC and we wont have to watch pink banelings and childish colors.

i dont know if its a bug but in most cases loading processes are much longer then before atleast on my machine

Does anybody had the same bug as me?
I started a custom game with a friend on Ohana and when i wanted to start combat shield i noticed it suddenly cost 150 gas!? The same was for the stim upgrade. I picked the first version of Ohana. On any other map it was fine. Does anybody have similar experiences?

I do not care for the changes tbh, unnecessary and apart from looking a bit sleeker have actually gone backwards in most of the changes.
|
What I really like is a change in the map editor. In previous versions, the selected texture (when creating a new map) was tinted green, making it impossible to see its actual color unless one selects another ground texture. Now instead of a complete green tint, the selected texture gets a green border.
YES!!! I always felt it would be awkward to bring this up and that I am shouted down by guys telling me they wish they had my problems and I should stop being a bigoted snob.
But Blizzard did change it. YES. It is actual helpful to see the texture selected with a border instead of having it tinted in green.

I'm kinda amazed at how buggy it is, lol. I mean, these custom map balance bugs were widely known during the Arcade BETA. Why haven't they been fixed?
|
Its also strange how the devoted a whole section to arcade, full of silly custom games, which are mostly completely bad, lol. Loading times are higher and its strting to get old, Blizzard obviously have some people hired that are not doing a great job. I don't know man, they completely butchered D3, is SC2 now on the chop list? I do hope some other company is deveoping a top quality RTS, just in case.

The arcade is buggy as hell, half of the games don't load at all, crash in lobby, disconnect before start, get stuck in loading or don't work once in game with tons of bugged features. Only a very limited amount of maps actually work.

I honestly think that's great, it'll keep people who don't want to participate in 1v1 more interested in the game, which is good over all. The new UI however feels very weird, the aesthetics of it, not the layout its self. I'm sure that's just cause I'm not use too it.

Also I feel it's so hard to view how many points you have on ladder that I already don't bother looking.
|
The profile page has gotten a lot worse. I liked having the snapshop where, at a glance, you could see what league you were in for all matchups. Now, you have to dig deep through the menus to find out information that was easily accessible pre-patch.
Another thing that has annoyed me since I started playing: When you are viewing match history and switch to viewing, say, 1v1 only, when you click on a match to view the score screen then come back, it's changed back to 'All Matches' meaning you need to switch it back to '1v1' and find where you left off.
Grrrrrr.

i hope for c&c generals 2 but i dont have much hope.

I personally like the changes, sure some of them are going to take some time to get used to but thats with all massive GUI changes.
The only thing that does bug me is the Custom game balance bugs, i'm a little surprised something like that made it live.
Other then that everything has worked fine for me, no lag, no crashes, has not taken any longer to find a ladder game, all in all fine.

blizzard what the hell are you doing? trying to ruin this game or what?

I have the power to run it with ease (on any setting 200FPS) but I think it looks kinda ugly/distracting. Been looking through variables.txt. Anyone had any luck reverting it? You need to set alternateLowTextures=1 to "0" if you want the old washed up look.
I can't find textures.txt, where to look for it? ive checked my starcraft2 folder but couldnt see it
