Agreed actually, because in showmatches you aren't meant to play to win, but meant to show fo your skills, do crazy things. MVP for example is probably way less interesting in a showmatch than in a normal match, because showmatches aren't exclusively about winning, but also doing the mass recall into your opponent's base, or instagibbing your opponent's army with yamatos. Because of this, I think we shouldn't see showmatches as competitive games, and therefore, no one should be crowned ¨unofficial best player¨ due to them. But after all, this is kind of a joke thread, so maybe we can just let it go.

Basically it looks like this would rewrite about 4 months of championships and Sjow would become the person with the longest time as champion. Unless I missed something of course.

So if we give it to White-ra, then he loses it to Sjow at Dreamhack Winter 2011 (he actually almost lost it to viPro at that tournament, which would have really messed things up). So Sjow gains it from 25-11-11 until 24-02-12 when he loses to Violet 0-2 at MLG Winter Arena. From there it converges as MKP wins both the Winter Arena and Winter Championship. However, either way is fine with me as it's just a fun thread to follow. Also, it doesn't look like the title has ever been transferred in a showmatch according to the liquipedia page. ah interesting, we probably should ignore showmatches then

I'd guess, anything the organisers label as a ¨showmatch¨? The intent of the organiser would be purveyed to the players, meaning they'd see it as a showmatch or not, period. Although I wonder where IPL Fight Club does fall (if that is even relevant), maybe we should ask the organisers themselves ![]()

But if the players have to go to the venue just for the matches like IPL Hot Import Nights then they could be counted? man idk lol
