I heard it said post Life vs Mvp finals when the players were speaking, one of the Korean commentators said to Life " you defeated Mvp who has a 90% winrate in bo5 and bo7 series' " or something along those lines. They may have been talking about GSL stats only. You would have to go back and look up quite a few series' to find the exact stats.

I just meant he is playing like one and if he keeps this pace up he will be one soon. I don't think you quite get how dominant a player should be to be considered a bonjwa. Life's still a long way off with 1 GSL, an 8 win streak and a 62% winrate. You'd need multiple consecutive GSL's and a far better winrate across all matchups (70%) to be up for the title. Life's ZvT is 55%, that alone pretty much disqualifies him.

If you look at the main post the players given this 'benefit' of being world champion in december are Jjakji, MC and now life. Maybe I'm thinking to much into it tho because it does state 'unofficial world champion' ![]()

Right now there is little discussion because life is so good anyway, but there are very few tournaments between end of december start of january. This gives the hole consecutive days idea abit of an artificial boost. Might overcomplicate things but it can be important if the player given the artificial bonus is a more disputed best player. July won 3 OSL and Bisu won 3 MSL. Flash won 3 MSL and 3 OSL. Only Flash is a Bonjwa. Hopefully that gives an idea of what Bonjwa means. MMA won just as much as Life, and look where he is now. He was one of my favorite players, and its so sad to see that he's barely relevant anymore.
