not necc, someone can beat the defending champ in a game but not advance from groups e.g. a 0-4 guy beats a 4-0 guy | ||

It depends on the last set of matches. Whoever is holding the title can lose to someone who does not end up making top 3. That person will carry the title until his next LAN. | ||

If someone retires while having the unofficial world champion title, he will become the first SC2 bonwja and we'll continue the unofficial world champion list by backtracking to the last active holder of the title! | ||

In this case we'd backtrack to Demuslim and give him the title on account of him being the previous holder (although the title will probably bounce around a couple of times during this IEM :o).
