AFAIK Coca also got kicked out of the house and practiced at his home Coca and Byun both took their punishments like men and both came back better than ever. Byun now in the semifinals of Code S and Coca killing it in GSTL and in OSL Dual. But I will hold off on my opinion until we actually learn what MMA did to get kicked out and him wanting out. what byun and coca did wasn't even close to warrant any punishment. You can see intentional draws/concessions all the time at pro level mtg and they don't affect the integrity of the game one bit.
It was for a spot in Code A so it was not some pointless match. It did warrant punishment. Both players took it responsibly and maturely, served their punishment and are now doing well.

i thought coca got to stay in the house because they didnt have enough zergs to inhouse practice with and also he at the time had a 70%+ win rate against toss and terran and was also number 1 gm in ladder

Sure that's why they're in the GSTL Semi-finals.
MMA's downfall doesnt really surprise me, for a team Ace and GSL champion this year's been pretty anonymous for him and he's way behind the meta-game in some matchups.

It was NOT for a spot in Code A, how do people still get this wrong...

I really want to know the full story, but from what's been released, and judging by the history of the SlayerS team, I have a hunch Jessica is behind this in one way or another.

What...??? I've always thought of SlayerS as one of the most close-knit teams, being like a family... This is a huge surprise, but I hope MMA and SlayerS resolve the situation and MMA comes back stronger than ever! (under SlayerS tag, ofc!!!) SlayerSMMA Fighting!!!!!!!~~~~~~~

Just because you studied World History for 1 semester doesn't mean you know history. Heck yeah he started and ran WWII, and actually, "the world's major nations" were already torn into two "factions". All countries had major treaties and were forced into the war as it's allies were. Needless to say, the number of mass murders are not anywhere people like you think they are. That is the point. And this is not the place to discuss WWII. This is where we discuss MMA being demoted to Code B. You want to learn some world history, you can PM me.

I re-read the threads just now, and you're right: It was not for a Code A spot. The Code A spot was still under discussion during that time and was not yet assured. Lots of people just assumed in the threads that it already was, leading to this general confusion. Info was not in the OPs but mentioned as quotes from Mr. Chae. So I stand corrected.

I'm assuming his demotion is punishment for some form of slacking and not practicing, losing work ethic, or something of that form.

Those are the people that want to add nothing to the thread and contribute by stating incorrect information.

Do you actually know anything? It wasn't for a Code A spot, it was a match in the tournament which had a Code A spot as a prize, but the Byun v CoCa match was round 2 if I remember correctly.

Reminds me of last year when T1 demoted Fantasy to B-team after losing to Where (yup -_-). And look where he is now!
MMA should suck it up and work harder. I don't know what the reason for all this is, but I'm pretty damn sure it wouldn't exist (or it wouldn't come to this) if MMA was in the semis or finals of the last few GSLs and still the SlayerS golden boy.

Yeah, even though there was no direct information pointing to this, it was where my mind automatically went. Whenever there is drama around SlayerS I think first of Jessica...
Anyway, I hope everything can be resolved reasonably. If MMA and Slayers can't make amends, I hope he finds a good foreign team to play on

That was my initial suspicion as well.
Why can we not manage to go one month without some form of drama T_T

Mma would join eg I guess if he was to go to a foreign team
