We all know what happened here.
Eve, jessica's daughter, had a crush on Boxer's son (mma obviously~). However, MMA was secretly in love with Crank, who loved Ryung, who loved Eve. Eve asked MMA out and Ryung heard, and he was like OMGWTF and decided to steal MMA's skill for a game to impress Eve (vs DRG). MMA didn't go out with Eve and tried to see Crank to go watch OSL, but Crank was in GOM studio watching Ryung's sexy play. Crank went to OSL after Ryung's matches with Ryung, where MMA was sitting by himself crying in a corner. MMA saw crank with ryung, challenging ryung to a duel for crank's heart in the greatest of challenges.
And so, after hours and hours of a bo9 all MU BGH games, MMA emerged victorious after beating ryung in set 9 when he drew protoss against ryung's terran. When Ryung's marine range-expand into stim firebat drop with proxy wraiths failed to MMA's 5gate goon 1star scout, Crank realized that he really loved MMA. Eve, heartbroken, decided that she would make love to the forgotten son to spite MMA, which caused Boxer to break free of Jessica's brainwashing and realize that other terran players actually existed. Shocked at the extent of Jessica's ploy to put Eve and MMA together, Boxer decided to stop playing because Jessica was actually crazy. Angry that MMA's non-eve love broke her plan, Jessica declared that MMA would be paid less than the janitor that works at NSH academy.
MMA was really upset, and declared that no foreign team would ever treat him this badly. Crank, in search of true love, declared his support for the son of Boxer, while Ryung was wondering why Jessica was such a bitch because hey boxer actually remembered his name once and he got laid and Eve was being emo and began to only play squadron TD.
The end :D

And Internet Trolls, blame JESSICA! Maybe MMA stole MKP's wallet and SlayerS are punishing him for it, but MMA doesn't want to accept the punishment because it's his form of retribution for MKP stealing his early 2012 Terran bonjwa status?
It has to be it. Considering all facts revealed, it makes a perfect sense.

The only thing controversial here was MMA's supposed reaction to this move. A player of his calibre would've made the A-team again in a little while. yeah, true, but i think the context is slightly different as we're apparently talking about a punitive demotion. were there really notable, publicized cases of such in BW? can't really remember one. I've already linked one, but sAviOr was another big one. He was temporarily demoted to the B-team in 2008 as well. You can find many, many more reading the BW roster change threads over the years. The only reason I bring it up is because BoxeR is a huge proponent of the BW house system, and when I first read about the demotion I thought it would've been similiar to all these other ones from BW. Maybe it was some kind of punishment though? uhh, my post was asking for punitive demotes, not demotes. unless i'm missing some weird cover-up story/theory, savior was not demoted for match fixing, he was permanently banned from playing for doing that, much like all other progamers involved in the scandal. he got demoted for slumping badly, no? unless you meant he did something else to be punished for, which i can't really connect to his name at the moment. I thought you were asking for more examples of B-team demotions, not punitive demotions. Those are actually pretty unheard of. that's kind of the reason that makes me want to speculate MMA might've had it coming. boxer's been around the block and i don't think a simple dispute over who gets the last slice of pizza at lunch could end up in slayers snap-demoting the player who arguably has the most star power in their team. (after boxer anyway <3)

Nooo MMA, you were supposed to be the prince! The heir to the throne of Emperor of Terran! You can't leave SlayerS!

Yeah I'd kick a guy out of my A-Team for posing with a pink phone too. And revoke his man card. But I do love MKP in his cute pink hoodie.

Maybe MMA is in love with MKP. I know a lot people go gay for him anyway.

The only thing controversial here was MMA's supposed reaction to this move. A player of his calibre would've made the A-team again in a little while. It's strange though, because as far as I know (well we don't know about practice ranks and stuff), MMA still is a better Terran than Clide, and then you've got players in the house who haven't been performing very well at all for ages and still stayed in the house (*cough*Alicia*cough*). Think about it, with MMA gone, Clide and Ryung (and Puma and Thorzain) are the only Terrans left in the SlayerS house. Meanwhile they've still got 5 Zergs (KDY, Miya, CoCa, YugiOh, Min). It just doesn't equate that he was demoted due to a fall in internal rankings. I don't think this demotion is purely due to results/practice p erformance. It's probably a disciplinary issue or something, money, lack of practice, other issues. Are you freaking stupid or did you just fall on your head? Have you not seen Alicia finish runner up twice within the last month? MLG he got second to DRG, and this time he got second to Stephano at the NASL3 finals, yesterday at that as well (which face it, most P lose to Stephano anyways, all other imba, OP, ect talk disregarded). At least know how the team members are doing before you call them out. I was talking about Alicia prior to his recent resurgence, dude got eliminated by Select in Code A and virtually disappeared off the face of the earth for a couple of months. No need to get worked up over one phrase in my argument. The guy you replied to is a classic case of an idiot not knowing what he's talking about. Last thread I posted in about this I said the same thing, Alicia slumped way longer and had less results, so MMA shouldn't be kicked out due to results. People starting waving their fingers in the air screaming NASL TOP 2! If you followed GSL since last year you would know that Alicia was hyped up to be the next coming of Protoss only to drop out of GSL altogether for like more than half a year? I think he attended an MLG or two but didn't make it past the open tournament.

MMA has been on huge huge slump and it wasn't uncommon for BW teams to demote their players or send them home. I think it happened to Bisu and Fantasy.
I'm really sad to hear this news but I'm not surprised. I thought it was strange that MMA didn't volunteer to come out in their last GSTL match. After Ryung won the match, everyone on the SlayerS bench was really happy, got up and started clapping, everyone except MMA. After attending the IPL event, MMA probably got approached by a foreign team and when he got back to Korea, he told SlayerS of his intention to join a foreign team. Because he was still under contract, SlayerS probably got mad and sent him home. MMA probably didn't take it too well and more than likely won't come back...... every single time someone changes their twitter name, they've pretty much decided they want to leave. I can't think of anyone who changed their twitter name and then remained with the team.. not a single one.
I'm sick and tired of foreign teams pooching top talents from Korea.... when will it stop?
It wont and its not pooching its just business just like any other sport in the world. You better get used to it

This hurts SlayerS much more than it does MMA. I'll still be a fan of MMA no matter what team he joins, however, I only liked SlayerS because of MMA. Now, i don't particularly like any players from there..

MMA needs to stay with Slayers, Ryung needs him for cute rivalry purposes. My heart broke once already when Polt left Prime ( and thus MKP), don't do that to me again

Again, unfounded speculation but: + Show Spoiler +I feel that MMA knows that, and that's why he disagreed with the decision publicly. It may have even been the cause of the issue in the first place. He is one of the most important players to SlayerS, so he MAY feel he has some leeway to cause trouble because he's too valuable to just kick out.

Holy crap, shits hitting the fan on that team.

I can't imagine a Slayers without MMA... MMA -IS- slayers. It would be like slayers without boxer

I'm curious just what team he would plan on going to.
- If EG wants to remain with SlayerS I would assume that they would be unable to pick up MMA.
- Liquid might not just because they already have Taeja--a better performing Korean Terran--and if this thread is any indication of what is going on I am sure there will be a bit more controversy regarding a team's acquiring MMA (Liquid never seems to get into the middle of big player/team drama situations).
- Fnatic is hardly even a "foreigner" team any more, as it seems they are focusing a lot of their efforts on training Korean players to play in Korea. Perhaps I am discounting them a bit, but I would be really surprised if a Korean player searching to play for a foreigner team chose to play for Fnatic.
- Empire/the rest of Russia and Eastern Europe seems to be more concerned with acquiring foreigner talent rather then pursuing Koreans.
- Millenium certainly does not need any more Terrans, and since they already recently acquired fOrGG and they are probably trying to hold onto Stephano, they will be more focused on other matters/players.
Obviously any of the teams above probably could pick up MMA, but seeing as he has not been performing well recently, there is some sort of controversy between him and SlayerS, and the fact that Terrans are just not in high demand right now, him getting a position on a foreigner team might be more difficult then I one might think. Plus I am sure that MMA would expect a huge price tag to go along with his being traded to another team. So the major foreigner teams that that leaves us with include: coL, Quantic, mouz. As a big mouz fan, I can honestly say that mouz.MMA would actually be an incredible sight to see. It still doesn't have quite the ring of SlayerS_MMA, but I think I could eventually learn to accept it. coL already has two Korean Terrans who are performing as well if not better then MMA. Granted, GanZi's relationship with MMA could possibly be a key factor in helping MMA get a position, but seeing as coL just invested a ton of money into their foreigner's training house, acquiring MMA might require funds that seem a bit too much. And finally you have Quantic, a team that does not mind its controversial players, has no connection with SlayerS, clearly has money, and they could use more Code S Terrans. Perhaps Quantic could pick MMA up, but I'll be honest, I won't be a fan of Quantic.MMA and I will never be able to get used to that name.
Of course, if MMA gets back into Code S and starts to play well there, literally everything I just said goes out the window. If he starts playing like MMA back when he won the GSL, then he can get a position on literally any team that can afford him.
