dayummm i'm psyched can someone explain how OSL season and prelim format usually works?

Excited to finally have an integrated scene and everyone pulling in the same direction. Sad that this will be the last we'll see of dedicated professional broodwar, but the game does not end with the professional scene it is what you make it.

Really sad; we didn't need another SC2 tournament.

NaDa for the Platinum mouse!!

I'm feeling sad inside my tummy right now, the last OSL, wow. Since BW is dying, Flash killing BW isn't much important anymore, so I hope he wins the last one !

Sorry to all the BW fans that our joy as SC2 fans has to come at their expense. I hope SC2 can replace the glory that was BW, but I can understand that for some nothing could replace what BW was to them. It truly was an amazing thing and is the thing that all other eSports strive to be on the level of.
It will be so cool to see SC2 "originals" playing against KeSPA players, but I suspect it will really depend on how OGN and GOM can cooperate to make sure that there's enough time for players to compete in both.
On the plus side for foreign players, if all Korean teams become over encumbered by Proleague, OSL, and GSL then foreign tournaments will be a lot easier for them to win!

Yeah, but them actually announcing it is what's killing people. The fact that this is the company putting a conclusion on a big part of their lives.
This is a sad day, but I am kind of excited to see the new OSL.

what is an "original sc2 player"? Probably Non-Kespa player (GSL players)
Or possibly those who never played BW, but are skilled enough to participate.

Anyone left who can get a golden mouse?

RIP BW. I'll never forget you. All those times I cheated on soccer for you were worth every minute. Much <3. Sigh.

It's any non Kespa player, why is there a debate about this?

It was bound to happen. We'll miss you BW; you will never be forgotten.

is the most sad news of the e-sport of all time, Starcraft was the first real e-sport in a country and now Starcraft 2 is the only chance to save a little of this legacy, if wasnt starcraft 2 today i think LoL and DOTA would will BW anyway, So Starcraft 2 and HOTS is the only hope to save competitive RTS.
Rest in Peace

Posting in this historic thread. RIP BW.
But I'm super excited for the future of SC2!
|
This is pretty cool! can't wait to watch and see how GSL pros fare vs. BW pros in live matches.
|
Great news. Its time to transition out of BW and increase the competition of competitive sc2. BW players and GSL stars duking it out should be amazing to watch!
|
So cool everyone can compete ;O
