GM / Master map hacker and general hacking and cheating th…

You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody. Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence.

He scouts instantly crossmap with a probe to deny my hatch, without even checking the sides. He then fails to scout anything in my base (no observer) but manages to counter my fast muta's perfectly with 2stargate Phoenix. http://drop.sc/236629 Is he hacking or am i just paranoid?

Obviously Hacks exist but are they as prevalent as everyone claims? Ofc it aint as a bad as it seems here. The problem is that people cry hack when they lose and they will try to find something suspicious in the match as "proof". Just look at some of examples here "he instantly scouted the right direction" "he countered my strategy". This happens even in pro matches and its called luck but somehow here its called maphacking. Note i am not saying everyone here but ever since this thread came out at least more accusations of hacking came up.

not hacking, the random scout is just as random as it appears to be.

On the other hand, there is still a bunch of hackers on the ladder, even after the last banwave. As a matter of fact, FnaTicTricky (formely known as Impa), didn't even get banned and is one of the most recognised maphacker in GM right now.

At first I figured he just took a random guess and got it right. It's not uncommon to do so on Shakuras Plateau. I didn't think anything of it and continued on with my ladder games. As I'm in a ladder game I get a message from another player claiming that JohnSmoke is a hacker and I should report him. He linked me to an image of the guy 2 gate proxying on Entombed Valley just a game before mine. I'd say that's pretty much a guaranteed hacker. I haven't done any of the research but I did report him for hacking and figured I's post it here.

You morons. Sorry, but you can just select the control group, watch for orange stalkers, and blink those back quickly, don't need to watch anything but the bar at the bottom. Doesn't mean he's not hacking, he probably is, but those and other statements don't prove a fucking thing. You have to watch for other signs of cheating. Seriously, how dare you accuse somebody of being a cheat using such idiotic statements, it's disgusting. Use better evidence or shut the fuck up, because there are even laws against that sort of thing.

Tbh that game looks extremely hackerish to me...it looked to me like he originally planned on 4 gating, but then upon you 4 gating (which he did no scouting at all) decided not to, as he was about to warp into your base, but then saw you coming and felt like he needed defense at home in case he might lose the trade. I dunno, he says he doesn't hack, I just don't understand why he would 4 gate but then instead put 0 pressure on, and instead sit on top of his ramp with no intention of expanding. That game raises a lot of flags to me. Edit - Keeping in mind that this is well into top 50 GM on both sides, which is why Intel's play makes no sense to me. If it were lower league then maybe, he was praying that 2 zealots would do the job.. but the little shadow movements as if he were trying to react to an incoming 4 gate without blatantly reacting to it really make it look funny.

The wording may be a bit sketchy, but the player's selection or lack thereof of his units during a warp-in was obvious in the video. They had his player cam on, and he had his warpgates selected, making a row of stalkers, looking away from the battle. Stalkers, meanwhile, are blinking back and the selections aren't happening. Look with your eyes and see what they are seeing. Mute the video if you have to.

This is definitely maphack, how the hell this guy is even gm, I mean he floated 1k minerals while going for 4 gate And I literally laughed so hard when he couldnt decide where to warp his stalkers because he was trying to look at you probably rofl Edit: And that idle probe all game long, he is so ridiculously bad

Pretty obvious mh. when he knew his opponent was 4 gating (without scouting) he pulled back and looked for pylons at his third in fog of war. And he also waited for his opponent too move out before warping in zealots. This is all very suspicious but i think we need a few more replays too judge him completely...
