You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.

Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence.

Thanks! The name of the topic has been irrelevant for a while now.

The way Blizzard work is that you get a temp ban for the first offense, and then a perma for the second one. I do not know if he got warned atleast once already or anything, but atleast he got banned from a daily playhem he tried to enter!

I witnessed someone streaming a year or more ago who searched for a 1v1.. then he had production tab up. He got banned in about 30minutes, and about 5 minutes later came back on a different account. Not sure if this guy has $$, hacking accounts, or free trials

What scares me most, is the only hackers that you can blatantly spot are the ones using the map hack, ie looking through fog of war, enemy base, drop coming etc. Give a good player a production tab and it would be very hard to prove.
Maybe the hack is one in the same, idk. The dude who streamed had both map and production hacks. Typing in the stream chat saying it was blizzard's fault

Sad to say Blizzard can pay to make the game, but not to fix it, despite how much much money is buzzing around the community.

Does anyone know if the new patches had any effect on the hacks? I think i read somewhere in this thread or another that the new hacks are patched with the patches to SC2. I have honestly felt after the patch that people are still knowing a little too much about what i am doing or where i am at on the map. Maybe i am paranoid because the hacks are obviously widely used and easy and heck to find. If anyone knows that would be great.

Hacks are always up within a week or two usually of a new patch. Just how shit goes in popular games.

I wouldn't be suprised if the public version was down for a while, though i'm convinced the private one is still working or will be shortly.

I have gone from a 50ish % win rate to close to 60% since the patch change in mid masters. I have made 120 points on the ladder since the patch.

I havent done much to change my play so I am glad that the hacks are currently seemingly more down. I don't know if I am just playing better or not but to get that kind of a change since a single patch change makes me wonder O.O

Issue with a thread like this (in my opinion) is although it can do good and catch map hackers it reminds me of death row, what is the statistic... 1 in 20 are found innocent? Kind of reminds me of that where although seemingly there is proof, we're all basing this with a subjective view point.

All in all good work, just remember to be objective and take all cases non-personal or you'll be miscalling.

This is why few replays are needed to build a case. Also, most of the people that have been confirmed are using automatic hacks like blink-hack and larva-inject, which makes it possible to affirm with 100% certainty that they are hacking.

EDIT: Would like more replays of the player JohnSmoke on EU server.

There was a thread about accusing Spades hacking: thread.

There was also an attempt to prove it by analyzing click coordinates on minimap and such.

This method should be checked again as a new Sc2gears (12.0) was just released which has an updated and improved replay parser engine which now displays coordinates in higher precision and also displays extra info like whether a right click was issued on the minimap. Read the details in the Sc2gears thread.

Explain me how this works like a "death row" ?
This is basically: " Hey look, this guy plays suspicious lets try to make blizzard check his account/playhem and other tourneys not let him play"
You are free to come in here and post a message if you see one of your replay and thus explain why what you do is not hacking.
100 guys thinking you are a hacker because of 1 replay they didn't analyze enough isn't going to hurt anyone.

I have had angry guys telling me " I will report you to blizzard for hacking" when they lost and wanted to change the blame from "balance" to "hacking". As long as you don't ACTUALLY HACK you are fine.
The most the community can do is make blizzard do extensive check on an account that has a lot of reports.
AND EVEN IF, EVEN IF blizzard does extensive check and bans said person due to other modifications to the game that could be confused by there program with hacking you still only get a warning and a temp ban the first time.

A good strategy means leaving your opponent room to make mistakes

Since the name sounded familiar i found a replay from yesterday where i played against him, he is obviously maphacking as the replay tells.
- he dosen't scout
- he looks through fog on my base
- he reacts to my army movement without "seeing" my units

Problem is there are too many bad players who lose and cry hacks. Good players don't need to physically scout to know what the other guy does and it leads to the illusion of maphack. This leads to good players having to argue with bad players about how the bad player is oblivious.

BTW most hackers that abuse it correctly buy a private one that cant be banned so reporting them would do nothing.

I didn't said that isn't happening all i said is that the guys blamed of hacking in this thread are just that.... blamed
Thus unless blizzard bans on the account of 10 dudes circle jerking around a replay where a guy is not actually hacking i don't see the problem.

Hey if you still need replays of scnzoohairz i could provide replays, he basically blind countered my muta and started making spores even BEFORE he scouted my main which is ridiculous, his mechanics/ and understanding of the game is horrible..

I played zoohairz yesterday, and he lost his nat hatch to proxy reaper, miserably failed a baneling all-in, and at the same time died to cloaked banshees having zero detection. I find it hard to believe he hacked in that game in particular, at least.

Are hacks really that rampant It seems everyone accuses everyone of hacking when most of the time it's just luck or game sense. Obviously Hacks exist but are they as prevalent as everyone claims?
