+ Show Spoiler + You are the only player to have never fallen out of Code S completely. How does it feel? I was a bit tired today. I’m glad the day ended early because I was starting to feel sleepy. I am proud of being the only person to have been in Code S for 10 seasons in a row. You have been in all GSLs so far. 16 times, in total. Having it said to me like that makes me think that I’ve certainly been in many tournaments. Rather than 10 in Code S in a row, 16 times in GSL in a row sounds even better. It motivates me to work even harder. How do you think your performance was today? There were many minor mistakes. I even had trouble pumping larvae. I worried about the horrible luck with the maps but other than that, fortune smiled on me. I think I was playing at 7-80% of my best and really, luck played a factor. This was your second UnD ever. It ended oh so quickly. We shouldn’t make it so hard on the reporters and staff members on the first day, should we? (laugh). Actually, UnD is not a bad format for me. I like improvising on the spot. Not that I want to be back in it. Speaking of improvising, tell us examples in today’s games. The 10 pool I chose against July was completely unplanned and against Lure, I chose a base race because I knew I couldn’t win head on. Yesterday, MVP got his fourth GSL title. If MVP had just gone 4:0, it wouldn’t have been so great. However, he turned that last game around after falling so close to defeat. It was electrifying. Watching MVP win wasn’t all that exciting in the past but this time was different. I really congratulated. It made even me feel good. I’m a bit jealous but I still have the record of never starting a season in Code A so I’ll have to do with that for now. I should get cracking on that 4th title myself. Are you jealous about the fact that MVP had such an epic finals? I’ve had plenty of epic matches even if not in a finals. I’d like one in a finals, sure. I guess I should get in one first. You have done rather poorly in Code S lately. Every time I attend a foreign tournament, I am out of whack for over a week. I really can’t play. So I am having second thoughts about attending foreign tournaments. I’m thinking about focusing on GSL mostly but then again, GSL is so long which makes it hard for me to make a decision. Lately, Zerg is on the rise So far, Zergs have had it rough. The playing field is finally level. The Terrans and Protosses seem to be having some trouble since the balance patch. However, soon, they will reign over the Zergs once again. Zerg has always been underpowered. Your goal for next season? I have said the finals to this question many times only to be eliminated early on. Firstly, let’s say ro8. Ro32 and ro16 have so many games so I should work on conserving my stamina. Lately, all players seem to be becoming better than ever There are many up and coming pnlayers. I am feeling the heat. However, I am working hard to improve at the same time. I think the audience is the winner in this case. Did you watch the Starcraft1/2 hybrid proleague? There were players who exceeded my expectations and others who failed to live up to them. However, since they are playing two games at the same time, it must be difficult for them. I don’t think I could do it myself. I’m still excited about this and think that they will play better and better. Anything to add? I want to thank Anyppi, YongHwa, Seed, Happy and Yoda for practice. Now that LG is sponsoring us, I feel a lot of pressure but also very motivated. I also want to thank Googims, Coca Cola, SteelSeries and Nvidia.

+ Show Spoiler + You are back in Code S like you promised It’s too bad I couldn’t make it with only wins. Still, I am very happy. Frankly, when I was practising for Code A Round 3, I was so certain I would make it back into Code S then. I hardly lost any games until then. However, I became too nervous and fell down to Up and Downs. I really started to focus afterwards. You are the first person to go through Up and Downs with only two wins Yeah and it only took 20 minutes a well. I want to take this opportunity to thank Nestea. I was really nervous watching Nestea vs Lure. I was so happy when Nestea won that I started clapping. You must have paid a lot of attention to Nestea vs July Not quite. I fear Protoss more than either of them so studied JYP and Lure more than any other. After hearing that my win rate vP was the highest, I regained some confidence. I used that to my advantage today. Did you choose the builds you did because Terran has trouble against Protoss late game? Precisely. I got a lot of help from MKP. I selected a few builds out of the hundreds that MKP has. The proxy rax against Lure was meant to transition to standard play even if didn’t outright kill him. What should we expect from you next season? I would have been very nervous if I had gotten in straight from Code A Round 3. However, having gone to the UnD, I think I can perform better without the nerves. Anyone you want to face in Code S after such a long time? I won’t have the chance but if I were to nominate the groups, I would have Zenio, Puzzle and asd in my group. I want to face Zenio most but it’d be even better if he didn’t make it into Code S this time. He beat me in the past. Did your team help you out with practice? I was hit pretty hard by the loss against theStC. I couldn’t bring myself to play the game for two days and they all just left me to rot. All they did was give me a few builds (laugh). You must be excited about the upcoming GSTL I really am. I prefer team league to individual leagues. Since we won last season, we have a good schedule and a good group. The team atmosphere is great too so I expect a lot. Anything to add? Yesterday, Aria formerly of oGs entered our team. I hope he practises hard. Yesterday, Classic left the training house to complete his reserve army training. I hope he practises hard once he gets back and gets through the qualifiers. There were so many players who helped me with Code A Round 3 but I couldn’t thank any of them because I lost. I wanted to mention their names today but forgot to bring the list of names with me today (laugh). Of course, I want to thank Nestea as well. I want to say thanks to m yteam’s sponsors Tt-eSports and OCZ. Soon, Coca, my old teammate, will be trying to qualify for Code A so I hope he does well. I’m planning on visiting home today and I’m happy since I know that my puppy is waiting for me.

YEAH thanks storywriter love you

Thanks for the interview(s?) once again! :D
|
I wish NesTea could say which players that exceeded his expectations and what not in the hybrid proleague :D
|
Nestea played well today, I am happy to see Mvp's victory motivates him to continue to try to get the 4th championship for himself.
TY storywriter.

Thanks for the interviews, mate.
Just a thought if you are free (you don't have to), but I think there could be some interviews with the KeSPA pros following the last few PL matches they played. Care to translate those if you find them?
(or anyone else if they can)

Wow I feel a fresh motiviation through this interview ! gogo Nestea!

(or anyone else if they can) I'm definitely interested in Proleague and I see a couple of interviews on dailyeSports (I think that's where all the BW interviews are? correct me if i'm wrong). I assumed that BW translators would be doing these but I guess not? If anyone reading this is thinking of translating the interviews themselves, could you PM me so we don't waste time?

I think some of the BW websites don't want fan translations and get them taken off TL. Not sure of the current status of that but I remember it was an issue before.

Lol nestea saying zerg is underpowered after we have a top 3 zerg mlg arena

Code S wouldn't have been Code S without NesTea, thanks StoryWriter

FOMOS complained about their articles and pictures being used without being credited. I don't think there's been troubles besides that.
Thanks for the translations btw, would love to see BW player interviews if there's any ^^
PS. we finally know why there's so little progamers after the age of 30, they require frequent naps to maintain their power level.

don't see why Fomos gives a crap. It's not like they do it themselves and no one loses money over it. I'd be happy to put FOMOS in the title to credit them or something.

Thanks again for speedy interview.
Another baller interview by Nestea =D
Nestea and MVP are buddies but you can tell Nestea is jelly. He's coming after that 4th next season >:D

Yeah NesTea and Byun! And wow! I didn't know that Nestea was in code s consistently like that
|
OOOHHH, a hopeful shoutout by Ghostking to CoCa!
|
Byun so funny, can't thank any Prime members in this interview also it seems the puppy is back at his house, I guess the Prime house unlike Zenex wouldn't let him keep it nice that he still remembers his old friend Coca and isn't trying to just distance himself from him after the scandal
puppy terran hwaiting!
|
I'll be sad if we see less of Nestea internationally but if he needs to focus on the gsl to win it then so be it. He really should be the sleepy zerg, I have never seen him stay awake throughout a group selection ceremony or tournament.
Byun is adorable and determined as always. I like that he favours team league and i really hope gom starts putting more emphasis on gstl and the whole team vs individual aspect. A little sad though that his interview implies that his puppy lives with his parents instead of in the teamhouse, curse you prime coach !

Storywriter deserves his own translation badge!

It coincided with the opening of their "Global" section where they had English articles, so I think that was mostly the reason they contacted TL. It seems to be abandoned at the moment though.

okay, i'm going to go to bed soon so won't be translating PL interviews right now. If no one's done them by the time I get back tomorrow, I'll upload as many as I can manage before Up and Downs starts again. Having said that, doing GSL, GSTL (is there a regular translator for this?) and PL at the same time sounds daunting so hopefully someone can help out. Maybe I'll post a thread or something asking for volunteers.

So that was the new guy in the house. Nobody told me who he was. Just assumed he was a tryout, like the many that I have seen go through the doors here. Guess not haha.

Most interesting from these interviews is that another falls to the behemoth that is army service.
Farewell, ClassicPrime. We hardly knew ye.
EDIT: Misread. Army reserve, not actual army.

Ghostking is a weird guy...

I know that maybe this is not the place but... why has nobody interviewed squirtle??

And thank you storywriter for the interviews. Always nice to read.
Regarding the FOMOS stuff read Fomos content: Stop using it for an explanation why it cannot be translated here.

Aww I thought that Byun was allowed to keep his puppy in the teamhouse T_T I guess that was with Zenex only.
Anyway thanks again storywriter, you are a hero!

During next Code S group selection (people that reach ro16, so given that he doesnt fall in ro32) they will talk to him since the talk to all players, and by that time they will certainly interview him about the finals
|
|
Can ghostking just go back to Byun now since hes in code S? : )

I'd much rather have Nestea be at 100% than see him at foreign tournaments.

You can use this thread if you ever need to coordinate with any of them. Might make it easier since I doubt many of them would see this.

nesteas pretty old for a progamer so i guess the jet lag really gets to him.

Haha, what's with all the korean teams silently picking up and dropping players without actually saying anything? We didn't know Lure was on MVP until last night either.

Nestea. 16 times in a row. Mind = Blown.

Well Lure was teamless after OGS (RIP) disbanded. I guess picking up Lure isn't that big of news.

"I’m planning on visiting home today and I’m happy since I know that my puppy is waiting for me."
Ending the interview, and the day, like the boss he is. Really looking forward to his performance. Even though he advanced today, we were not able to see his top performance that was so praised by MKP and B4.
