Not even close Id say pretty close (if not above) as he defeated him in MLG, placed higher in the last GSL (finalist, possible champion while MKP got knocked down to code A) and is currently ranked no1 in the TLPD.

How are your SC2 skills at the moment? I'm really not that good so I'm still at the stage of learning. What SC2 player are you paying the most attention to? No one yet. I had planned on focusing on the basics in the beginning and then looking at VODs, so I intend on watching them from now on. and this What are some difficulties for you? I think there's a problem with the balance. Protoss is overpowered so I hope they balance it out. that is contradictive.. and everything else is denied right there when the logic was.. well there was no logic ![]() i have a great respect for him, but he needs to take some time to learn and feel the game before i take this kind of statements seriously.. bw and sc2 are two whole worlds apart..

Yeah, DRG is a calibre better. Considering MKP is the best player in the world right now it would be impossible for DRG to be above him. Also MC and parting are worse than MKP. Name a Zerg or Protoss player with better Micro than MKP or better macro than MVP or Bomber. That's hilarious, because DRG beat him in the finals of the last MLG, and Terran is currently the favored race in ZvT among top Koreans (thus the balance changes in the latest patch). Marineking beat him 5-2 and 4-2 before that. MKP is still the best player in the world right now. Don't remember who said it, but a very good top tier korean pro said that when MKP is at home playing on ladder hes almost unbeatable and he wasn't winning tournaments because of his stage fright, but now that he has gotten over it and MVP's wrist exploded hes the best player in the world right now. I seem to recall reading something about wristless MVP in the GSL finals. I wonder where and when I read it. Where is MKP in GSL? edit:I love MKP but he isn't even close to the level of MVP's brilliance. MVP is truly the greatest SC2 player right now.

I know flash is incredible and i'm picking him for a guaranteed Code S level player in the near(er) future. This does not mean that he knows enough about the game now. Hell, i'm not even masters but i probably know more about balance and the metagame then flash right now. right now being the key word. I'd give him a month at the highest before he surpasses me. I think when the proleague starts up we'll see how the BW transitioners are still at a lower level compared to the current sc2 pros. Pretty much, i think he needs two or three more months before i'd seriously get behind his opinions about the races.

I hope you see the irony in you quoting ONE round of 4 racial distribution compared to him giving results for all GSL finals..... For the record, I quoted ONE round because It's the most current round. The reason I didn't include the previous rounds is because Terran has had a lot of buffs removed since this recent patch. Therefore, the argument about which race has won the GSL the most is invalid because each season didn't have the same patch and in my opinion that makes a huge difference. Also, counting the GSL opens and first couple of GSL seasons don't even count (in my opinion) because nobody even knew how to play the metagame at that time. If you want to do the statistics about which race won the GSL the most (regardless of patch) I would start with the GSL's played in 2012 and forward because we can't really make a comparision until at least two more rounds of GSL are played (on the same patch) then I feel that should be an efficient enough sample size to do the statistics and analysis on.

Why do you think more pro-gamers have decided to play Terran? Because of the higher skill ceiling. Also, when DRG played Genius in the finals (just last season), the other two semi-finalists were Terran. And this season still was half Terrans (not to mention the fact that nearly every season ever was half or more Terran). What's your point? Funny how Terran-dominated this forum is. It's not. The unbiased Protoss players all agree that their race is currently overpowered. Oh cool look an unfalsifiable claim. Actually, you should probably look at the statistics and winrates before making such a claim about Protoss being OP. The facts show they're not. There aren't actually anymore Terran pros than those of other races. If you look at the number players in each team it's fairly even overall. It's "only" in tournaments where they somehow do better. And then there's this: Q: What do you think of the balance in SC2? S2: I'm not at the skill level to talk balance, but all the races seem good except Zerg. Light: I think Zerg looks the weakest, and Terran is a race that looks strong when played well. However, I haven't reached that level yet, and TvP is a bit hard. Link to post
