Looking at the development of some of their additions, they're good at a number of things, but certainly not at finetuning talent. Picking him up for team leagues? Seriously? Hope the kid won't be wasted as some sort of backseater/benchwarmer. Well, if nothing else, he can still do what certain others do: have a blast at the Lair, promote EG merch on his stream and appear in hilarious videos for their sponsors.

Lol how? I would put him as the 2nd best player on the team after JYP. I think PuMa is way overrated ;p
Hmm when other players have joined EG I have grown to profusely dislike them but I still like Thorzain XD. This is a lot better for ThorZain because IIRC he said that Mouz couldn't let him go to Korea?

Really liked the video, thought it was funny. I'm sure some people won't like it but so what. If it was any different I would say it sucked, which proves you can't make everyone happy
Anyway, happy for Thorzain, he seems to be such a cool guy and a real competitor. Glad he gets the chance to continue playing.

well that was unexpected!

When Thorzain was on Praetorian (or however you said it) I knew he was something special.
Respectful, mannered, funny and with amazing talent as a young man I thought he had limitless potential. I wasn't wrong I don't think, he went on to win TSL and then signed with Mouz and became their ace in matches leading up to numerous league titles. ALL the while he was always the same representative.. a pillar of top notch personality with top notch skill.
When I heard we had approached him and secured a contract with him I nearly cried I was so happy.
I pledge/promise to you guys I will do all I can to make him happy here and make sure he continues to grow in skill so that we can look to him as one of the flag bearers of the foreign community. Mouz is an amazing organization and they treated him really well.. I will do all I can to make sure he doesn't regret his decision to join EG.
I am really excited to work with him and I hope you guys are excited to see where he can go!

This is a big step in the right dirrection for EG. Thorzain has had phenomenal results this year so far. Thorzain started out the year gettign 2nd place in Shoutcraft Invitational 4, losing to Stephano, arguable one of the best zergs in the world. Then comming in 2nd place at MSI 6, 7 and 8. In his last 3 tournaments, Thorzain took 1st place. MSI Pro Cup 9, where he beat viOLet 3:1, and Dreamhack 2012, where he beat Polt 3:1.
Thorzain's results this year are deffinately recognizable and bold. Evil Geniouses will be a great place for him to train and make his skill grow even further.
I personaly look forward to see how EG.Thorzain progresses with Team EG through both the team leagues and MLG

That's great, love it when great players are able to meet their full potential in teams that provide

Saw this on my youtube video feed first. I thought it was a troll video as soon as i saw the Swedish flag but as the video went on, my mind was blown. Haha great video, great pickup for EG, and great opportunity for Thorzain!

I am sure no one even suspected a thing. 0.o

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THORZAIN!!!!!!! Don't give in to the dark side!!!
I'm a sad panda. Let's hope that Thorzain breaks the EG curse...

LOL awesome video! And gratz to thorzain, this should be a fun year for him.

For all not liking this decision, would you rather have him stop playing and go to school? Because he's hinted at that for a long time as well as this interview strengthen that opinion. Now you get at least a full year of Thorzain with Korean training.

That seems to be their mentality. Eventually they'll have to start winning stuff, right? Right? Waiting on those W's boys. except EG has won MLGs, IEMs, NASLs.

Does this basically make TZain EG's ace at this point? Obviously PuMa, JYP, and HuK sort of all vie for that spot as well, but ThorZain is arguably more consistent over every matchup. He doesn't have Code S or Code A results to compete with JYP or HuK yet, but maybe when he's in Korea we'll get to see how he lines up with those two....

So EG get Thorzain, give him a comfortable wage, assure him about taking time off college, open up the opportunity to stay in Korea with Slayers for as long as he likes, a base to bootcamp for any MLG and give him travel to any event he wishes and people are hating on that?
Grow the fuck up.

I'm torn on this. Don't really like EG from a "buy whoever is currently hot/popular" perspective but that seems to be their business model from now to eternity since they have the resources to make it happen. Just not the type of team I root for. On the other hand, I've always liked Thorzain and realize EG was just the best choice monetarily and resource wise and he's gotta get paid. Eh, just torn about this. Hope both parties get what they were looking for.
