Don't BW pros make much more money than SC2 pros? The only thing is that it's harder to break into the higher levels in Korean BW.

only becuase of the big salaries they get im sure if you compared to how much flash could make cleaning up every major forieng tournament it would be a large chunk of money

and who would send him there? dont think KT (korean company) cares that much what he does in foreigner tournaments and rather have him play in korean leagues.

Good point. KTF doesn't care about the Western market.

But they do care about money. Also how do you know they do or don't have interest in? Do you work for them? Are you their ceo? Nope, so stop assuming stuff.

Stop blabbering shit idiot. You should do some research. KTF is a cell phone provider in Korea. So why the fuck would they want to advertise their mobile plans to foregin world where they cant even use.

Flash is going to have to be pretty fucking amazing for KTF to sell mobile phone plans in North America or Europe (assuming they want to waste the money trying to break into those markets when SEA is much more accessible and lucrative).

Forikorder, your point doesn't make sense when you apply it to the group. You are saying Flash would like it if KeSPA leagues switched to SC2 because he'd have a salary along with presumably the first place prize of every tournament that exists (although this isn't 2010 anymore). In this way he'd eke out a little bit more money than he would taking his salary and winning tournaments/getting performance bonuses as he already does right now. That just wouldn't apply to the group. If Flash is winning all the tournaments, where's the extra opportunity for other players? As a group there isn't more money for them in SC2 right now. SC2 leagues are saturated with players and they have top-heavy prizes. So it might make sense for a random player to switch to SC2 alone if he doesn't feel he can cut it and wants to try a different game.

if the BW pros switch then sponsors switch and audience (at least some of it) switch too, as a result the scene all of a suddoen becomes alot bigger with bigger players and bigger audiences so more sponsors are wanting to invest in the scene so more tournaments

flash cant be at every tournament, even now there are tournaments happening at the same time and thatll become more often as more tournaments are put out so the non-flash BW pros can pick a tournament flash isnt going to, especially if there schedule isnt completely synched with Flashs (like for instance if one MLG flash is playing a match and cant go) and even if they dont win the forieng tournaments placing second or third still comes with a good prize pool and theres still being able to go to a place like an MLG with huge crowds cheering for them

Both parts of the history are basically the same. I just do not get, why SC2 fans are mad only about the part 2... they should be mad at both parts.

Because Sc2 is the SUCCESSOR to starcraft brood war. Brood war fans need to embrace this. Need to. LoL is going to take over brood war AND sc2 if not. What would you rather see? SC2 can only continue to get better, As it has shown. People need to give it a chance. And they will.

i dont need to embrace crap. you esports zealots are off your rocker. i like bw therefore i play and watch bw. end of story.

i hope you get banned for using epithet "crap" while nobody ever provoked you in doing so. maybe then after 2 weeks of chilling you learn some tolerance and that the world doesnt revolve around you.

if every teenager on this forum used such language to describe a game he doesnt play (it doesnt even have to be bw vs wol, it can be lol, wow, dota), TL would be such a shithole going to bnet forums would be like getting a free trip to hawaii

Doesn't make too much sense to me, just let players play whatever games they want and the sponsors will follow. Seems a bit cynical to say which games players and leagues should play in the name of esports.

I see you're from Croatia so I'm guessing English isn't your first language which might explain the confusion. What he means by crap is in the sense "anything", not necessarily sc2. (I.e. I don't need to embrace anything if I don't want to)

And he's right. Just because sc2 has Starcraft in its name does not mean I or he or anyone is required to support it if we don't want to

History, part 1 : BW is mechnically and strategically deep game. But there is a offspring : Starcraft 2. Starcraft 2 is huge simplifield on every level and on every aspect of the game. BW is replaced by SC2.
SC2 fan reaction : It is good, we do not want it complicated !!!

History, part 2 : LoL is overtaking over SC2. LoL is huge simplifield on every level and aspect of the game, compared to SC2.
SC2 fan reaction : It is not good, because it is simple !!!

And they will.

i dont need to embrace crap. you esports zealots are off your rocker. i like bw therefore i play and watch bw. end of story.

i hope you get banned for using epithet "crap" while nobody ever provoked you in doing so. maybe then after 2 weeks of chilling you learn some tolerance and that the world doesnt revolve around you.

if every teenager on this forum used such language to describe a game he doesnt play (it doesnt even have to be bw vs wol, it can be lol, wow, dota), TL would be such a shithole going to bnet forums would be like getting a free trip to hawaii

gah, bah, i give up

crap in this context is a synonym for nil, nada, zero.

oh snap )) i apologize

We'll call it "The Super Ultimate Grand Finals of Destiny Clash for the Universe Championship"

Nope, it was called OSL prelims.

I couldn't help but laugh at that.

Considering they would only start the transition. It's going to take a lot of time to catchup on the style. BD

has anyone considered BW pros want to switch over to SC2 to make more money?

Flash is going to have to be pretty fucking amazing for KTF to sell mobile phone plans in North America or Europe (assuming they want to waste the money trying to break into those markets when SEA is much more accessible and lucrative).

What other markets are they in? Couldn't name one. :/

That's great and all, but we're talking about KTF.

The TL forums are a combination of many things. You don't have to like everything.

A basketball player doesn't have to fancy hockey.

If you aren't interested in LoL, SC2, BW, etc. no one is forcing it on you.

People seem to be confusing things. It's not 'players switch->sponsors switch', I'd expect the sequence to be 'sponsors switch->players switch'.
When SC2 came for BW, I cried. Now LoL/Dota2 comes for SC2, and I laugh. \o/
