This new tournament isn't going to immediately kill the GSL, and how are we supposed to know this pro-league won't be pure awesomeness? I can't see how this can be a bad thing. I'm still going to watch the GSL but I'll check out the pro-league as well.

LoL is killing WoW and now starting to steal SC2's esport spotlight. Blizzard needs to take measures to compete against LoL or two of their three core franchises are in trouble and Mike Morhaime is going to lose his job as Blizzard's sales keep falling short of expectations. Hopefully they drop their ridiculous licensing fees and revenue sharing requirements for hosting SC2 tournaments and put more money into promoting the SC2 esport scene like how Riot is pumping millions into promoting LoL esports. The problem with Blizzard is short sightedness. Instead of supporting the growth of SC2 esports as a low cost way to continually market the game and their brands and maintain continued brand interest and long tail sales, Blizzard instead tried to grab up front cash and stifled the growth of SC2 esports.

Awesome news, because one company having a monopoly on SC2 in Korea isn't a good thing for viewers. Agreed, and well said. Overall i thnink this is gonna be cool as we might see more of the SC1 platyers convert over to SC2 and bring better matches with them!!

Aren't WoW and LoL completely different kind of game? -_-"
