Ugh so many koreans sign with foreign team and are promptly whisked away to obscurity. I hope that doesn't happen with these two.

Not sure how willing people are to pick Ganzi as it sounded like he was going to go to the army soon-ish. Liquid would to well to pick up Taeja. Super-solid Terran, who seems like a genuinly nice guy. The only Terran they have atm is Jinro, who is unfortunately not producing very impressive results. Another Terran would do them just fine.

Aw shit.

They will be missed. Weekly bonjwa, mostly.

SlayerS will probably be crippled thanks to this. I don't think their B-teamers like Crank, Brown, Min and the like are up to filling those pants for now.

Mostly because it's free money winning all the tournaments we host. Compare that to the GSL which is insanely hard to win. Either compete and have a 1% chance of winning a tournament once a month at best or go to the foreign tournaments that are everywhere and only have to worry about the 2-4 koreans that are participating.

Beating MMA 3-1 doesnt really make you a chump. I think Puma would do very well in code S,

I doubt that. The win against MMA was the first win against a Code S player for a long while. If we take out MC than it's really hard just to find another (code-s) player that he actually beat. (atm noone comes to my mind, but there might be someone). His winratio against the top of korea is very bad. That's no shame at all, we all know Puma is a very good player, but barely not the level of code s.

Recently Puma has been impressing me. Especially at the latest IEM tournanent, I can hardly name alot of terrans playing better then him at the moment. Probably only MKP, who is in great form, Jjakji and MMA I rate higher as terrans .Norrmally MVP aswell but I think he is injured and because of that not producing results.

There are at least 15 terrans better than Puma, even though he truly is top 3 at managing engagements, behind Jjakji.
Also, this is a heavy blow to Slayers, even though they never truly showed much caring for Taeja, he was probably the 2nd best player, with the most potential on the team, puzzle got nothing on him.

Did 15 come out of your random number generator? 15 is not very likely. The ones I named plus maybe 1 I forgot.

Mvp, sC, Happy, Jjakji, Keen, GanZi, MKP, Bomber, SuperNoVa, aLive, MMA, GuMiho, Polt, TaeJa, Ryung , TheSTC and maybe Boxer, Clide and ForGG IMO are better then PuMa.

I'll take that challenge and give you my opinion why not:

MVP: Injured
sC: had health problems not on his old form yet
Jjakji: Agree with you there
Keen: Slumping abit, been beaten down by Nada all the time(who is not on your lost and rightly so)
Ganzi:Doubtfull maybe equal to Puma
MKP: Defintely better then Puma at the moment
Bomberlays great sometimes and looks god awfull the next game..I'd say Puma is better at staying consistent
Supernova: Just no. Good TvT though
Alive: Didnt he get roflstomped in the semifinals of GSL
MMa:Agreed
Gumiho:He is good..I'd say equal even thoug he might be a one hit wonder with his weird style
Polt:Recently really good. Maybe
Taeja:Not sure. I like Taeja but I like Puma more.
Ryung. good TvT'er..not allround enough
TheSTC:Definitely good..but not as good as Puma I'd say. I'd have to see more of him though
Boxer: Hahaha..no way..the Emperor is not showing anything these days
Clide: Have you seen his recent games..he is terrible at the moment
ForGG: The Elephant that became a mouse. sorry.

Liquid would do well to sign Taeja. His skill level plus Liquid's popularity would catapult him to star status in the foreign scene IMO. At least on par with Hero if not even more popular.

So, they want to "see what it feels like to play in foreign teams", huh? That's a nice way of saying that they want a bigger salary. They're professionals who make their living playing SC2, so of course they're going to want to make as much money from it as possible. It's the same reason why MC and NaDa left oGs a while back. Of course, they don't want to say it out loud in fear of alienating their fans, and instead say they're looking for new personal challenges/a fresh perspective/a different experience or some other bs.

There is nothing wrong with a boss like MC wanting an actual salary. He's the best Protoss in the world, he shouldn't have to work for peanuts.

Typical EG fan out there. All these are mainstay players Code A/S, what makes you think that puma is better than them? Just to pick a few Sure Mvp and Sc have health problem, the skill they displayed in their games are still much better than Puma. Puma looked completely helpless against stephano while polt just demolishes stephano. Furtheremore, has Puma made it past the preliminaries of the GSL? maybe once but quickly got knocked out in the first round. Just because someone can pwn some foreigners' ass and make tons of easy money doesnt make them better than Code A/S mainstayers.

That's only part of it. I believe the main draw is the fact that they'll actually get paid a decent salary.
SC:BW has a higher skill ceiling than SC2? SC 64 is where it's at brah.

Taeja won so many Korean weekly (IMO the second hardest tournament in sc2) and most of the time the prize money for first prize is a wooping $100 you can get that or more for just showing up to a foreign tournament.

It's hard to imagine two terrans wanting to up and leave slayers.
This is really surprising.

Of course not. The same is true for any professional athlete, not just esports. How long do you think some basketball or football superstar would play their sport if they got minimum wage for it? They'd rather become and accountant and say that they wanted to experience some new challenges.

ForGG: The Elephant that became a mouse. sorry.

Sounds like you're pretty blind yourself. PuMa has never played a foreigner in the final set of any of the tournaments hes won. Hes always beaten code S caliber players to go on and win the whole thing. He doesn't stand pretty as the 5th highest overall earning sc2 player for no reason. I think PuMa's only attended like 2 code A qualifiers since hes been on EG. DRG and MMA both struggled to get into code A and once they got through they had trouble getting to Code S (they had to place well at MLGs to get the code seeds).

PuMa does have a weak TvZ though, just like most players, code S or not, have week match ups. Also I'm not saying PuMa is better than all those players on the list but he definitely deserves recognition as a worthy competitor amongst them.
You may delay, but time will not. Current Music obsession: Opeth
