gl orb, if the mob with pitchforks won't let you take a breath, i hope you find something else to do.
i know you know the bad manner was wrong and not needed, but i want you to know that i for one do not think an apology was required at all, just a clarifying statement should have been enough, i hope your next employer values you higher than EG did.

Stupid mistake by Orb, either be 100% of the time profesional, or get a fanbase like Idra and you can say what you like, and offend anyone anyday without risk.
Has IdrA ever lied about any of his bm/profanities/etc? Specifically when EG has made a statement saying that they believed him?
To me this is the biggest fault of orb, if he had've just admitted it immediately I think it would have all blown over. Do you really expect him to get away with making his employers look like fools by backing him when he was blatantly lying?

I really liked your casting and I enjoyed it all the time. I just feel really sad that you had to end up apologizing. I respect your decision, and I hope you come back soon.

love the apology. His words: "if you took offense, I'm sorry." Not sorry for using racist derogative terms that any idiot who has a normal job shies away from, but rather, I'm sorry that you take offense. I guess he had to write an apology and did it in the most unapologetic manner.
I agree with Orb, he was just using the n word as a cuss word and is obviously not a racist, but can't take away from the fact that he's an idiot. Stupid actions have consequences. Do I think people overreact to the N word. Yes. Do I think he's a complete moron for spouting that kind of garbage given he's in a public facing role. Yes.
too bad since I did like his casting style. other than when he puts down the players, he's at least analytical and intelligent and doesn't have a heavy accent.
|
Well i'm sorry this happened to you, no offense but maybe you will learn you're lesson, wish you the best of luck, peace.
|
Bye bye then, hope you continue to stream etc.

God you are relentless about shirking blame. Own up to it and stop squirming. It would be so much easier if you just apologized and admitted you were wrong without giving us the run around and explaining yourself and pointing at the circumstances. Some people never learn.

Pretty silly if the comments were a year old. In that time u can easily change ur mind about what u want to do with the game but meh

Actualy yes, he could have got away with it with a warning or short suspention at most, people how ever complained to sponsors, wich made EG react to the extreme messurement it did.

No, that reply was aggressive. I did post it correctly. You jumped to an assumption. I am aware of the entire back story. I never even said Teamliquid had anything to do with this fiasco. I said "sad times we live in TeamLiquid" Did I say "oh gosh TeamLiquid you guys are so wrong and bad"? No, I did not.

Certain internet communities simply love drama Orb, everyone know's you're not racist, it probably wasn't too smart saying nigger int he first place, however no one genuinely thinks you're racist and I'm beyond sorry that because of bored people you lost a career opportunity that you deserved to have. Whilst it was silly for you to deny that you said nigger on stream, I don't believe either way you had much of a chance recovering as everyone had already got out the pitchforks.
I hope your career fully recovers and that you can be a successful caster yet again, hope to see you soon!

No your whining after you post something that made no sense at all, and now your offended. But considering this is the internet you can't lose face and now reply even more nonsense. If you think that was aggressive, i wish you the best of luck with your future posts and it reply's they are going to get.

I'm not sorry for your current position, but I do wish you luck and hope you lead a successful career devoid of racial slurs in the future.
Everyone deserves to know in no uncertain terms that this behavior is not OK. However, everyone should be given a second, or perhaps even third chance. I think that you "get it" now.

Im sorry it happened, I also rage pretty bad when laddering, specially against cheesy protoss. Admitting you were wrong and apologizing is the right way to go about it. Hope this doesn't have a heavy impact on your future as a starcraft caster.

Well then I guess we just have differing opinions, if I was CEO and one of my employees lied to me and made me look bad, I would fire them in a second. I could forgive his other transgressions, however I would not tolerate blatant lying (and accusing other people of slander), especially the way he did it, in the slightest.
