Exactly. There's no reason this shouldn't have been done earlier, but I guess DB's explanation urged mapmakers to organize a bit better once they knew their goal was tangible.
I expect shakuras and shattered to be the next to go.

I was the only TL Map Contest judge who really pushed for Korhal Compound, so I'm really curious/worried what everyone thinks of it. Had I not argued for why it deserved a winning spot, it probably wouldn't be being added to the ladder pool, so I guess this means you can just blame me if you dislike it, and that's also why it may be more zerg favored.

The new maps are good. I like Korhal, Cloud Kingdom is dark but I still like it.

zzzzz I almost want to wait 4 days to play ladder. I don't know if these maps are even bad for terran but they look interesting. Cloud kingdom has been fun in the Playhems.

Awesome how blizzard is respecting the usefulness of macro game maps on ladder.
Really sad to see Xel'Naga Caverns go, would've much rather liked Shattered or Metalopolis out of the map pool, but i guess that's what the majority wants.

xel naga had to go it just didn't fit anymore with how the game is played now and led to terrible games lately.
Plateau was terrible so good riddens of that too.
New maps are good so only for the better. Next maps to leave will be shattered and shakuras I think with metalopolis staying as the only small viable map.

i just tested it against comp and i really like it a lot. (more than cloud kingdom)
the layout and look is awesome, really glad it's in the pool.

I am satisfied with the map pool changes. I just wish the minimap for the Cloud Kingdom would not be so dark. It makes recognizing the terrain height differences from the minimap hard.

I'm so happy to see this. Glad that Blizz is listening to the community and putting in more user maps into their ladder map pool. I definitely think that this is a huge leap in the right direction. Actually got me kind of excited to play again.

I voted for Korhal! I really like both the look of the map, and the layout. The ladder needs more 2 player maps anyway.
