No race should be fragile. But the issue is that Protoss timing attacks hit too hard with warpin, and their lategame is not contestable, at least for Terran.

Protoss would gradually gain a higher percentage, but they didn't. It just went BOOM from about 37% to >50% all of a sudden. And at the same time, playstyle's changed dramatically. I don't see this as a coincidence.

Well, he could have meant that he was really good at it. Nestea would state that he would crush pretty much anyone in a ZvZ, but that doesn't make ZvZ imbalanced (obv). Also, you did misunderstand his post. Nestea, MVP et al have complained about the state of Terran or Zerg when they were in interviews, even when they had phenomenal winrates and Protoss was being wiped clean from GSL. MC doesn't do that.

MC doesn't do that. "Q: This current season seems to be the best chance for Protoss. As President of Protoss, what are your thoughts? A: For PvT, the map order is really important, but for PvZ, it is true that Protoss has an advantage in that matchup. I will have to look out for tomorrow's group D matches to know who my next opponent will be. However, if a Zerg qualifies in second place for that group, I am confident of winning 3-0." Well my interpretation of that quote is that he said protoss has an advantage, not that he personally has an advantage. He also doesn't seem to care whether it's Nestea or DRG who he faces, he's just confident that if he plays a zerg he'll win 3-0. I'm aware of Nestea complaining about zerg even when he was doing well but I dunno about MVP. I only recall him saying there were too many terrans in code S and that he was going to knock the undeserving ones out. On February 09 2012 04:39 HaXXspetten wrote: MC boss as always. Interesting to see that he'd openly say that he thinks Protoss has the advantage in PvZ, when the stats don't really back it up. MC is the president toss, the pinnacle of protoss play. Only balance at the very top is relevant to MC, not the results of lesser competition.

I distinctly remember an interview in which he said that Terran was the weakest race.

When he won his first GSL, he said Protoss was not UP. There was a few other times too and this time also. Gotta respect that.
