Not sure if this is the right section, but as we all know GSL's newest sponsor is Hot 6ix energy drink. I normally don't drink energy drinks, and I've never heard of Hot6ix before but I'm really curious about this product. Mainly because they are sponsoring my favorite tournament.
Anyways I've been scouring google to find information (i.e. prices, reviews, ect.) about the product and it's actually much more difficult than I thought it would be. They don't have an english website that i can find, and the only pages i can find on them are in korean. They are not listed on screamingenergy.com. This is pretty much the only thing that i could find on the brand..
Is this product not available world wide? According to their facebook page they are located in Nepal, and I live in california. Has anybody else had better luck buying this drink? Please if somebody has any information about how available this product is or how to order it it would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Yeah! I can't them either! And the drink actually looks quite interesting! I'd love to throw some support back at them <3

As far as I know, it's only sold in Korea. Which is a bit sad, because from what the guys who went to WCG told me, Hot6 is delicious.
|
Every energy drink I've tried has this weird...almost medicinal taste to it. The only ones I like are the coffee flavored ones and even those have this odd thickness/syrupiness to them.

The company is Samakhushi, Kathmandu, Nepal ( their facebook page sais that ). aroundseoul.com writes: A great red-bull korean clone! (hotsix.com ) don't know how true this is.. cause hotsix.com is blank for me.
maybe you can contact GOM or hotsix at facebook?

I don't understand why the foreign stream doesn't advertise another product.
|
it's only in korea...
maybe find their twitter and tweet at them to get a US/EU/etc branches :O
|
If it really is from Kathmandu, I would be careful as the hygene standards aren't that high over there. Because the electric power isn't enough for the whole city they have electricity only for part of the day and thus refrigerators don't work reliably. Also the tap water isn't drinkable .

JUST A THEORY, BUT
what if ... Hot 6ix .. acutally means hot 69 ? watching the gsl stream i looked at the actual logo and the ix really looks like the old IX ( 10-1 = 9 ) the roman number for 9.. searching for this and skipping a few porn links, i got to pages like HotBlood or jump beverages wich also have a enegy drink with korean symbols on it ( http://www.jumpbeverages.com/hot.htm ) look at "Pure Energy "
as is said just a theory but maybe it's a korean version of this brand !

There was a thread like this a month ago where we dug up stuff about Hot6ix and followed their social media accounts. You can probably search for it easy enough.
But yes, it is Korean only. Sponsors need to start realising how much foreign exposure they get from GSL.
|
Hot6 may never reach international markets such big as Europe or NA, which is most likely. Maybe you could visit Korea, go see the GSL and buy some Hot6. :p

The can you area talking about isn't auctally a Korean symbol. It looks Taiwanese. It is for sure not Korean though since Hangul is much more square structured then taiwaniese, and the symbol is not even close to square structured

My mind is blown.

Pretty strange that they would sponsor a tournament that has such a world wide viewership and only have their product available in korea..
|
Unless they want to start shipping them. either way we count as viewers which means money for exposing us to it. Might be strange but if it supports what we like shouldn't matter. And its not like we couldn't import it :p.
