I don't think they'd do well tbh. From what I've seen in tournaments with Chinese players only Xigua has really stood out

That's what people said about FXO, except worse.

I dont understand the hype surrounding Chinese players. Everytime they show up in the international scene, they disappointed. The performance at IEM was lackluster, while Xigua couldnt justify his non-korean run to final by playing like silver against mvp.
And like someone mentioned above, GOM should not just invite random foreign teams to GSTL for the sake of making it more attractive to foreign viewership. The team should have long-term plan in Korea and some connection with the Korean scene at least.

The more countries that get in the gstl, the better and more interesting it will become.

And they did pretty bad for the most part.

Macsed took a game off MVP and Loner at least was good a while ago. I feel like China could get a middle of the pack team together, if not better

I don't want to say this. But nowadays I find the Chinese SC2 pros are ridiculous. People in China had high expectation to the chinese pro players before, before Lyn won both champion title of G-league a few months ago, War3 champion and SC2 in one season! I think it's a really a shame of those pro players in China, both War3 and SC2 pro players. Actually this is not the only case, just before lyn won the two titles, another War3 players infi had won both War3 and SC2 champion title in G-league. Infi is only a war3 player, he has not completely switch over yet. I don't know I should feel glad or what, in the most recent WGT in China, in the semi-final match, infi beat lyn, who had knocked Xigua out. If you want me to pick one that has the brightest future on SC2 in China, I guess I'd have to choose Infi, a pro war3 player, who hasn't claimed to swtich to SC2 yet at the moment.
Hence,"Like a Virgin."
