With players like Pj and Lx, China was probably the second strongest BW country, but that really doesn't say much because Korea was so so far ahead of everyone else, in the sense that if you picked the one hundred best BW players in the world, they'd more likely than not be all Korean. China -was- the second strongest BW country. But BW is dead in China now. BW is definitely not bigger than SC2 in China, since SC2 has a few leagues and a decent number of progamers, whereas BW is completely dead.

Everyone's either switched over or retired, but the game itself is, as far as I know, more commonly played and watched, as in, a good amount of people follow the Korean pro scene. As far as internet cafes go, BW is definitely far more prevalent.

PJ got married and Legend is mainly playing poker. The Chinese proleague (G-League) already switched to SC2, so yeah the Chinese BW scene is completely dead. The thing is, the current SC2 scene isn't one tenth as big as BW scene used to be, mainly because the game can't be played in LAN and can't be played in PC bangs for free. At the meantime since almost everyone from BW or W3 (W3 was huge in China) who didn't retired or switched to poker, is now playing SC2, so all people with a lot of potential and/or RTS experience are now playing SC2, and based on WCG results, I'd still say that China is still the #2 Starcraft nation.

Yeah, but culturally they are different, which is why Sen probably wouldn't be on the Chinese team. Think about it, Taiwan isn't even part of the Chinese SC2 server but rather part of the Korean one.
