My prediction of players in this team:

  • XiGua - Invictus Gaming. Arguably the greatest Chinese player and one of the "really fucking scary" Zergs. Seeing as he got a 2nd place finish in WCG 2011, I think he'd be wanting to flex his SC2 muscles in more international events.
  • LoveCD - World Elite. Not much known about him, a Chinese player who lost 4 - 1 to MC in a StarsWar invitational tourney.
  • Sen - Gama Bears. A Taiwanese team and player but I have a feeling if Sen's coming back to the GSL as a Code S invitee, they might try and get in touch with Gama Bears and ask them for permission to include Sen in their coalition team.
  • Lyn - Pandarea Gaming (not technically Chinese but part of a Chinese team. Seeing as he was one of the seriously recogniseable Korean WC3 players, they would probably try and sign him.
  • Ace - Pandarea Gaming. Another former WC3 player, supposedly really good in the Chinese scene.

pretty solid, but Ace has been inactive from competetive scene for a while, this spot might be LoveTT, also you should count F91 and Macsed in.

my roster are:
XiGua
Macsed
Uhen
F91
LoveTT
Sen

Oh I like that a lot, great news! Here's hoping more foreign teams work towards getting their own spot there without piggybacking on the already established Korean teams (even though it has been good to see the various team alliances popping up).

It seems one does simply walk into Mordor GOM's competitions.

Can't we have a stable team lineup for GSTL, we'll never get to Proleague level this way.

Would be really cool, I would love to see them compete. I think they would do decently well.
Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.

Because having a "Team 8" is stable right?

Chinese players have the mindset and environment to become world class level. All they need is a place to practice and compete.

Given the relationship between Taiwan and China, I doubt Sen would participate on a "China Union" team.

On the other hand, not everyone mixes politics with sport! I don't think there's any animosity between the people of each country, anyway

Wowowowowow.

XioaT, MacSed, Uhen, Jim, F91, XiGua.

That's one hell of a formidable team.

I've got to say that despite my expectation, China has some really great players (especially XiGua), but many others as we all saw at the last WCG.

What other Chinese Terrans besides Loner should we look out for if this happens?
